G400 is the best ping hybrid ever. I always played Callaway hybrids only, but the G400 is best ever for feel and distance and distance control.

Currently have the Mizuno and like it. I have recently been contemplating looking to get the Ping G400 3 hybrid.

If any of you have hit both and provide me a comparison i'd appreciate it.

a lot of experience with the CLK; only a bit with the G400. With that the CLK had a much more penetrating trajectory. I think the G400 may be slightly more forgiving and easier to launch. However, once I found a higher launching shaft the CLK couldn't be replaced by the G400 at least for what I want.

Hit them both when I was trying to find a hybrid that worked. The clk is a touch longer, 7-10 yards. The g400 is straighter. That hybrid is almost always meant to fill a distance gap. The clk has an adjustable hosel which may help dial in distance or ball flight. G400 will do what it does and not much more.

what shaft helped you launch it higher?

I hit both and went with the Ping G400. The flat bottom on it is awesome. Its an absolute bomber, too. The feel is great. No complaints.

The issues I currently have is while the CLK is very long (almost too long), I can't consistently get it to fly as high as I want it to. I played this weekend and hit the green twice with my CLK but it was way too low to have a chance of stopping.

Do you think the Ping would give me more height?

Can’t you adjust the loft on it?

I found the G400 easy to launch but could be prone to hooking it if not careful. I swapped the Titleist 818 h1 and have never had the same issues.

by chance a kuau 7x from a srixon u65 came my way (free) so i gave it try, knowing it plays softer to flex and has a more active tip... the bend profile also works for me. It's also 10 grams or so lighter than the 85g stock speeder and that helped also. I wasn't ready to give up on the clk especially because of the great feel and adjustability. I play it mostly off the tee, often at 14*. Bottom line just needed the right shaft.

I have tried adjusting the lofts and it helped a little. The ball wants to start low (most likely my swing), but unless it has more spin, it wont climb higher and land softly. I will need to get on a monitor and see if adjusting the lofts will keep gapping okay.

I will also look at the Titleist as my local store has some used options in great shape.

I very much prefer the CLK over the G400 hybrid. The g400 hybrid has a really odd shape imo. As good as the driver is, I can't get along with the hybrid. The performance isn't great for me either with the hybrid. By far the shortest of all the major brands out right now.

I love the look of the CLK, but I think the Titleist 818 is the best available hybrid right now.
