Not sure if this is the right place to post this but the other day I ordered 3 KBS wedge shafts and 3 Tour Velvet grips so I can re shaft my wedges. I saw grips4less.com offered free 2 day shipping on orders over $49, a no brainer. Today my stuff arrived and shortly after I get a text from someone at grips4less.com. It read “I noticed you’ve placed many orders with us. We just rolled out a new program for individuals who are good enough to be re-gripping for customers and gives you access to special discounts and free shipping.”

 

I should probably tell them I don’t run a re-shafting/re-gripping company, everything I’ve ordered has been all for me lol. It is nice to be recognized for my efforts as a tinkerer though.

Take it easy there buddy. Who said I’m a “fraud” or being “dishonest”? You clearly didn’t understand, don’t worry it happens, but let me explain again. I ordered so much stuff in the past from this site that they think I’m running a business. I never told them I was, they reached out to me about this. I just thought it was humorous that they thought this. So where’s the dishonesty?

 

If being uptight and not understanding things helps you sleep at night then so be it, but for the sake of us please keep your confusion to yourself. Thank you. :)

Time for a lesson in texting. I understand most of you get this but for the textually challenged membership here is the text “word” of the day.

Meaning: text for smiley face. The two dots signify the eyes and the closed parenthesis signifies the mouth. Although the smiley is turned sideways(due to key limitations) if one can imagine a quarter turn to the right, the smiley becomes obvious.

 

When tyed after a written text, this usually implies the text should be interpreted as sarcasm. (See sarcasm if necessary)

I had the same thing with Golfsmith when they were still just a component supplier. Went to order something and all of a sudden I was getting Pro Plan pricing based on my previous year's spending on heads, shafts and grips which was all for personal use.

Really miss Golfsmith. Loved the thick catalogs and all the different colored shafts. So many choices in view and they did a great job explaining the profiles. Anything you could dream up golf was right there. I wish I could have attended one of those building classes in Austin. They catered well to the DIY’er. Too bad they have closed.
