Friends project x driver shaft broke, can I get it replaced?

Took a swing with my friends M2 driver and it snapped right down the middle...helping him get a new one but wondering if I can go through project x or if anyone knows if they will replace it? He bought it new from golf galaxy with upgraded project x 6.5 black shaft and golf galaxy told him they couldn't replace it because its an upgraded shaft but said to reach out to project x.

GG is full of it. If he got the driver from them with that shaft in it they should take it in. Have your club pro contact Taylormade directly and they should take care of it

He custom ordered it through golf galaxy? Also what actual shaft is it because I don’t remember TM using any project x shafts as retail in store offerings on either m2 but I totally could be wrong.

Regardless if it’s upgrade or not gg should contact TM but since they don’t want to call TM cs abd sork with them. TM has breakage in HZRDUS Yellow in the 2017 m1/2 as an fyi. If TM cs doesn’t help then reach out to px
