I bet a PGA fashion thread would be ok though... A proper reason for the lock would be nice too.

It's a great win for Ha Na Jang. I figured she was out of it the way Danielle Kang was playing but she was able to get into a playoff. I'm not sure on the true reason why she went back to Korea. It is interesting that she said her mom is still not well, but she also didn't dismiss accepting the 2020 LPGA membership. I'd bet "no" if forced to choose but I don't really know.

 

Interested to see if Ariya or HJK can squeeze out a win this year in the few tournaments that remain. I think they are the few towards the top of the scoring list that haven't won (along with Ciganda). Maybe In Gee has a shot next week too (or perhaps there is something about playing in Korea event that gets her to up her game).

 

Tough weekend for Minjee. I still wonder whether she can find another gear or if she has topped out among the very very very good players (but not going to change any record books).

That sucks royally! I am not saying this to rub it in, but on my provider, KAYO (same as the FOX coverage I'd guess), we got 4+ hours every day, with barely an advert, barely a cut-away and the highest number of televised shots I have ever seen. It was a joy to behold. Yet, last week, KAYO didn't even televise the Buick!! So I guess it's swings and roundabouts. It's strange, but these sports streaming providers don't seem to care much about their customer base. The entire business model is centred on attracting new customers, with marketing that contains appropriately vague promises of sports watching Nirvana. They are relying on us not enacting the labour to pursue a better provider. This is similar to what banks do I believe.

This also royally sucks. 4.5 years, and 379 pages later?! Without an explanation?! The least the moderators could do is pay the respect to the members of explaining why. And that would be interesting, because the comments are pretty much respectful and stay on topic. I can live without the fashion thread but my wife, who barely breaks 100 at mini-golf (putt-putt, whatever), loves wearing golf attire, and enjoys the fashion thread. It is just ridiculous.

Apparently that last photo of Hee Young Park grinding it out at Pinehurst last week -- to earn a T7 at the halfway point of the LPGA Q-Series -- was too much for the mods on here to take. I mean, c'mon! Tiger Woods was playing this weekend! How dare she take attention away from that?!

I was also impressed with the amount of golf we got to see. They quickly cut between shots without lingering on players for too long. There were minimal fluff pieces, if any. My beef was the butchered edit, or lack of an edit. The Golf Channel couldn't have put an intern to work taking the first 15 holes of coverage and produced a highlight piece that showed us how Danielle and Ha Na got to where they were? That's pretty much standard practice for any LPGA event shown on the Golf Channel. The icing on the cake was cutting an hour from the coverage. The LPGA pays the Golf Channel for the TV time. I hope they get a refund, and a little extra for the dis.

Anyone notice that the course had two extra holes that weren't used? I'm curious of they are part of the practice area. One of the courses in the Chicago area, Prairie Landing, has a practice facility that includes two short par 4's. 'Great way to warm up before your round.
