I purchased it long before 2020 but Club Glove with a stiff arm has never let me down.

Ive had a Club Glove for a decade and fly with my clubs 12 times a year or so. I think I have one rip in my bag, about a quarter inch long. The bag is near indestructible. Never had any damage issues at all with my clubs. Love it. Thinking about upgrading to the XL just so I can carry more stuff.

Club Glove hands down, had an Ogio before and that felt pretty good at the time.

But CG is now the gold standard imo

Every time I see someone say club glove I wonder if they have ever used the Sun Mountain club glider.

Its ease of use makes the club glove seem way outdated.

i looked at the Glider Team initially but it was 3.7lbs heavier than the CG Collegiate, so it was no deal for me

It is true that I’ve never used the Club Glider but the Club Glove is so easy I don’t know what problem that it would solve. When I need to set my clubs down, I set them down. I’m not sure how having them elevated makes traveling easier. Maybe it is slightly easier to push instead of pull but I just don’t see the problem.

I was going to look seriously at the Club Glider from Sun Mountain, but then a good while back someone turned me on to turning my clubs upside down in my regular stand bag. This moved most of the weight down low towards the wheels of my soft-sided case. This weight shift has made pulling it around airports is 90% easier. No longer is the bulk of the weight up high near the drag handle. Seriously, this has made lugging clubs a much more pleasant experience. Since I've made this change, looking at the Club Glider is off the table for now. (Note, this method doesn't work with bags that have small 14-way dividers as the clubheads won't fit in upside down.

I was also wondering about that product. I'm a big Sunmountain fan but I really wonder what problem they were solving. Seems it only adds weight and something that can break.

Make sure you get the stiff arm for the club glove because it's really essential to the protection system.

Club glove still makes you deal with the weight. The club glider can be loaded down and I can maneuver it with one finger.

 

You don’t see coroners using a 2 wheel dolly for bodies. They use a 4 wheel gurney. Same deal.

I get it. I just haven't experienced a need to have the bag weight supported while I roll it. It's not like I'm moving my bag all around the airport or anywhere else. It's typically just from the car/shuttle to bag check and then claim to the shuttle/car. Also I don't have to extend or retract any wheels with a traditional bag, whereas I would with the SM glider every time the bag is loaded or unloaded--Car, shuttle, elevator etc. Additionally the SM is 3 to 4lbs heavier than the CG collegiate bag, so to me that's yet another downside. Sometimes simplicity prevails.

 

No doubt being Sun Mountain that it's the highest of quality, but those extra wheels aren't something I see needing nor wishing for. So no the club glove design isn't out dated.

I own a Sun Mountain Glider, used the SKB Hard Case for years and used a normal travel cover, the kind of the wheels on one end, not a club glove but similar.

If you don't vote the SM as the best choice, it's cause you haven't used it fully loaded. The added weight of 3 pounds.... it's nothing. You can literally maneuver the glider with a finger. I schelpt the glider across 10 blocks when moving AirBnBs, too easy.

The club glove or any other cover, you have to pull and there's stress on your wrists and hands. Watch the videos online, it's that easy and smooth.
