R11 Sweetspot..

Can anyone tell me where this is? On my Supertri I hit it top Center almost to the crown and I get the best results.... On the R11 I'm not getting the same results... Please don't answer unless you are 100% sure.

i have the r9 supertri and i get the best results hitting the direct spot where the little white circle is in the middle of the face.

makes a very loud crack noise also LOL

Middle of the face basically for me. I find it loses quite a bit of distance if you catch it a bit thin.

I get the best results when literally hitting it dead center. Low looses distance, high goes way high, toe hooks and heel slices it seems

I've received the best results and best "feel" when I hit the center, about high mid up. Just SUCH a sweet, solid THWACK, and the ball ZINGS!

When I was getting fit at the Kingdom....they said 3 groove up center is the spot..I said " 3 groove up Toe side works better for me"....they just laughed!

Companies actually make clubs where the sweet spot isn't in the middle of the face? I would have to assume if you need to hit a driver closer to the topline than the center of the face to get optimum numbers you are swinging the wrong shaft.

When I get one right in the center it makes a crack and bombs away. I get okay results with a highish shot near the crown like you mention as well, but not as good as dead center.

Amateurs don't hit it dead centre that often ? more likely we're off centre and over to one side or up slightly on the face so it's moved to get better results

There was a golf magazine a while back that published sweet spot positions using some sort of special camera thing and a lot of the sweet spots weren't actually in the middle more off to one side

Mine is def Toe side of the center dot. I do miss it mostly thin when I miss, and I actually dont seem to loose a ton. I talked to a few different Tmade guys and i have heard the same about a slightly toe sweet spot.

TaylorMade scientists say that the best spot for their driver(s) is/are just above (one or two grooves) center - gives the best ball speed and spin rate.

2nd best spot is just above center, but [b][i][u]slightly[/u][/i][/b] toward toe side.

Check it out for yourself with face tape and a launch monitor.

The Sweetspot is normally above the centre of the club face as it's in line with the COG which is normally low and back in the club head. More weight in the toe would move the Sweetspot slightly towards the toe. SuperDeep user's SweetSpot's would be more central as the COG is nearer the face so the sweetspot COG line would be more central.

Wait a minute, I thought these big club faces were supposed to have big sweet spots and be very forgiving when you miss the sweet spot. From these posts it sounds like you'd better be pretty precise with your ball striking.

The center dot is in the middle of the third line.....I have posted a few times that I feel the head is the hottest at about the 4th line dead center for me, were I feel the ST has a larger hot spot that feeds into the toe area a touch.

Its plenty forgiving on mishits. There is just that perfect spot on the face that really makes it go.

It would be great if they could custom make a club with the Sweeet spot low and towards the heel a bit.
