Aww, you might consider reading my posts. I explained how there are a number of ways seemingly washed up players get into fields. Give up on the Tiger hero worship. I've spent the last decade with tour players and no one likes Tiger but they're afraid to speak out against him publicly. Hell, 35% think he's on roids. But shhhh, it's racist to think Tiger isn't the best.

Sorry to diminish your strange theory, but I do not "hero worship" any person (and I doubt that many people here on WRX do).

In fact, if you look around, you might find a few posts where guys say they aren't huge TW fans. lol

Your last sentence makes even less sense. The World Rankings are based on performance, and nothing else.

Ames won the Players Championship in 2006, giving him a 5 year exemption from 2007-2011. During those 5 years, he won the Children's Miracle Network Classic twice, in 2007 and 2009; each win gave him another 1 year exemption added on to his prior exemption, i.e. 2012 and 2013.

^ That. The rules are a bit obscure and sometimes open to a bit of interpretation, but they are published, and Ames is simply playing by them.

I guess I can understand (a little) people complaining that sponsor's exemptions keep those young bucks from the web.com from getting spots ... but Ames isn't getting on using sponsor's exemptions - he's got a card (for the reason so accurately explained by wessnuts).

Truth is, I have nothing against the sponsors using their exemptions any way they wish - it costs a [i]lot [/i]of damn money to put on a tourney.

Ames was stupid and said he had a chance to beat Tiger and said something like Tiger was wild or driving erratically.

Tiger said nothing.

Then, Tiger kicked the absolute crap out of Ames (and his teeth)

And after the match, when asked for a comment said,

"9 & 8"

I think I have that right.
