I just ordered the driver, since they dropped the price. I couldn't demo it in the loft that I wanted. How is the red tie in the driver? I have the 5 wood with the stock regular flex & it feels pretty stout for an regular flex.Are they all real deal shafts? I ordered a 10.5 with a regular flex & i'm hoping that it's a good fit for me.The 5 wood is fantastic. ...I'm hoping the driver is as good. ...

I own the driver, 3 wood, and hybrid. I have lots of shafts with adapters because I have played a number of recent TM drivers and fairways. Really good shafts. I play the Matrix in all of mine. They are all real deal shafts. They do play slightly stiffer than a lot of other shafts. Not drastically though. I play stiff in all 3 of mine, but I tested the regular in the driver and frankly, I could play it if I wanted to. The only difference was slightly higher launch and a little more spin. But just as stable as the stiff. My driver SS averages 100-105mph. If you're under 100 you can play the regular just fine. It probably will actually work better. The stiff measures out to 258cpm which, as I mentioned, is stiffer than most stiff shafts. Most are around 250. The regular is 245 so its really a firm shaft, not a regular. Pretty sure you're going to really like it. It's smooth, as most Matrix shafts are, stable, and it produces a mid-penetrating flight with pretty low spin. It matches really well with the head. I hit it as far as any driver I've owned (esp. into the wind) and you'll be really shocked at how much farther your mishits travel compared to other drivers. You'll know you mishit it from the feel and assume it's 30 yards shorter than your good drives, but you get out there and its only 10 or 15 yards shorter. Good luck! I hope this helps.

Picked up a 20* pro hybrid on a whim the other day and played it yesterday. Fantastic. Knocked my G25 out no problems. Anyone in the market for a hybrid should not overlook these things.

just got an Adams XTD Ti 13.5 with the red tie 7q3.
I must admit it took a little while for me to get used to it, just different look than most, but I hit that thing a mile. I am 105-108 mph swing speed kind of guy w driver so nothing huge but I have been hitting the 270 mark fairly easily...
I still play CB1 forged cavity backs w project x that I love so no switching from adams for me at this point.

ebay will be your best bet. Amazon will have them now and then too. Never tried them but always was curious.

Good call! Managed to pick up a 55 and a 60 for $35 a piece brand new!!

They look great! are they a plated finish or are they raw? I'd love to try to find some that were in a raw state that would rust a bit.

Plated. I couldn't find too many choices left, most were used. These were the only new ones that fit my yardage gaps. Still, for one who is not a fan of plated finishes on wedges, these in satin chrome look frickin' gorgeous!

Update: I bought a 52 and a 58 in new candition. The 58 showed up great, the 52 turned out was out of stock and couldn't fill my order… now I need one to replace the fallen comrade!

I bought the driver "like new" (not a blemish of any kind) on TGW with the Ozik Red Tie for $113. A monster.

Two weeks ago, on the Adams web site, the XTD TI hybrid, Red Tie, for $129. Monster, part two. The fairway is at $149 and may be heading my way shortly.

My XTD Forged irons just finished up construction...4-PW with Aerotech SteelFiber Player's Spec AMI99 Stiff with Lamkin Performance Plus Cord grips +3 wraps of tape. Can't wait for the weather to warm up to try them! My only concern is how light they feel. Who knows, maybe lighter irons will do me some good?

Nope not yet. I'm thinking if the steelfibers aren't going to work because of the weight or whatever I'll try the Monacos in them instead.

Does anyone know the bounce angles on the soles of the XTD forged irons? I am thinking about finding a set of these, but I have a pretty steep attack angle and am more comfortable with some bounce.

Also, I have the XTD driver and 5wd firmly in the bag. They are tremendous! I am hitting approach shots from places on my home course I have never been before.

No details, just from my experience,.....very little bounce. I am a sweeper and easily glide through a shallow divot.

I wasn't sure the XTD ti would kick my 980 out because nothing really had. I can now say that it has. Holy crap, this thing is a cannon indeed! I'm going from on course experiences when I say this thing puts me in positions I have not been in with 3 wood from the tee and more importantly it has put me in position to reach legit par 5's. Hot, hot, hot stuff.

I have an ADAMS Tight Lies 4 wood in 16*

Ugly little thing until I hit it... whoa.... just love it... I hit it out of rough, divots, FW bunkers... just a perfect club for me... long and quite forgiving on my bladed shots.... may look at the Driver XTD

Only thing is my 4 wood is very badly scuffed up already but so are all of my other TM clubs after just 4-5 weeks of use
