Serious WOW factor! Updated - 3/19/07

Well Gents,

I just had a nice little email correspondence with our good friend Harry down at GripMaster, and he let me in on a few little sneak previews of some products that will be seeing the light of day in a limited run!

One is one of everyone's favorite from the last round of Spectacular Grips in that Beautiful Butterscotch Color, yes the Ostrich Full Quill Body Skin!

How about the Labeled up "Garage Grip" with all of the logo's all over them?

The other is a Stitchback design with a Crazy GripMaster Shield all over the grips. The dancing shield will be happening in the Yellow Pictured Here, along with a White, and a Yellow/White Crazy Shield design. I am not sure if the grip that is the Yellow, White and Black will see retail, but I am pretty excited for all of the others!

Personally, I think that these grips look fabulous and there may be another small surprise around the corner from Harry coming soon!

But, I didn't say anything about it :blink:

Man, that ostrich is sweet! I like the color and the texture has to feel great. Eager to see the sharkskin.

Does anybody know the cost of the ostrich twill? I am lucky enough to live 20 miles away from these guys and will be heading to the shop next week. I screwed up the install on my first Gripmaster and they are going to try and fix it for me. Great guys at Gripmaster!

According to Harry:

 

"it is a hand laced the color is brown. it is a bit than our normal "tan". it is not protac treated. the logo is the "yarra yarra golf club" a well known aus club. it is a plated panel. the texture pattern is walrus."

 

The Walrus may see some light of day at some point in the near future in a different color.

That was an Idea I had when I saw a pair of stingray boots. It tuns out that stingray is a protected species in Austrailia, and unfortunately we probably won't ever be able to make a stingray grip. :-(

If you think the Shark skin looks great just wait. I don't know if the Sting Ray is ever going to make it but the Black and Red skins were tremendous. I have seen the skins and the Red is incredible. I would love to have one of these!!!

Ahh. I was wondering when pics would get out of the Barramundi Fish scale Grips. I personally think they are the best ones Harry has made to date. On the phone with him right now and he has some VERY exciting new grips planned though on these. From the sound of it the price point on these Barramundi Fish scale grips will be pretty decent all things considered. My favorite is either the Light Blue or the red :tongue:

Thanks for the post, James. I did not see if before my response today. All I can say is that I have a Redwood Stitchback on my gamer and really love this grip. As long as I have a Gripmaster on my gamer I am a happy camper.

 

By the way, I will be contacting you and Harry about purchasing a full set of grips for my other clubs in the near future!!! :tongue:

Jcigars, the feel of the barramundi grips?

 

Personally, i like the feel of the suede best. It reminds me of when we used to use cheese cloth wrap on putter grips (i think sheehan and verplank still do.) but with a softer feel. i am not sure the suede will hold up to bag wear. boon44 is testing it.

 

The glazed grip is very unique. It reminds me of a custom pool cue that just seems to belong in your hand. Fyi, my son is putting the red one and his comment was "it is the best putter grip i have ever touched". and with his dad owning gripmaster, he has demoÕd them all.
