Who is the most annoying golf commentator?

I'd love to know what an [color=#ff0000][b]"amature"[/b][/color] is. As for Oosty, many time I have heard him say "that was a horrible shot". These threads are far more annoying than any of the announcers mentioned.

I have golf announcers that I prefer more than others, but none that drive me crazy. If we were talking NFL announcers, I could go on a serious rant (Theisman, Dierdorf, Joe Buck). They should have Gus Johnson call golf. That would be a good time.

For the better part of a year now, I have been muting the coverage. That way I get to watch golf rather than listen to commentators that seemingly get paid by the word. That, and fast-forwarding through the never-ending amount of commercials, makes it far more enjoyable for me.

Miller is painful most of the time but gotta give the nod to Judy Rankin during LPGA coverages. I do not think anyone paid to speak can possible say um anymore than she does. She is brutal to listen to

Op you must be listening to a different Peter Oosty than I am because he is often critical of player's shot selection and execution, especially with short irons.

Visit Germany or Austria, book a hotel that has Sky Sports Germany. Tune onto Sky Sports when there is a golf tournament. Do not switch the language button (I have my satellite reciever set on "english" as default now).

Joe [s]Fu[/s] Buck will absolutely suck. He was on The Herd saying that he knows he doesn't know "anything" about golf but he will learn. So I get to "experience" Joe Buck "learn" how to commentate on golf. If Greg Norman had anything to do with the [s]Fu[/s] Buck selection then he is actually stupider than I thought he was. Course, it dovetails with Greg as sort of a loser move.

It seems I am not alone, so I wonder if we can get [s]Fu[/s] Buck the hook before he even gets up to the mic.

The Herd piece did say that fans are tough on announcers in golf and soccer. Ya think?

BTW, Ooostie is the absolute best.

GARY KOCH and it's not even close. That little inflection he does in his voice when a ball doesn't make a ridge and rolls backwards or when a player short sides himself in the rough is the most annoying thing I've ever heard.

Euro Tour announcers need to teach a lot of these guys how it's done. Get with it, Gary.

Johnny Miller because hes always so rude, snide and sarcastic. Joe Buck may replace him in the near future though. Every time the Packers are on Fox for the game of the week and they have Aikman and Buck, I feel like putting my TV on mute.

We have all read miles of text complaining about Miller but that is a subtle point--he can be downright rude. He always defends himself saying that he is merely talking like he would if he was watching the round on TV with his buddies. My response is Dude, hello, THIS IS BROADCASTING. Not everyone wants to know how you talk when you are sitting at home in your underwear.

Jim Nantz is the kind of guy who sits at home in an oversized leather chair, drinking brandy and coming up with lines that make mass viewing audience want to kill themselves.

I was given a signed copy of his book about his dad and I put in on the shelf and sold it at a garage sale for $.45.

He strikes me as the kind of guy who owns a lot of leather bound books.
