My pops was the first person that put a club in my hand when I was 10 years old. Im now 20 years of age and still love beating his a** on the course. I think the best part of the week is Sunday when me and the old man get to go grind it out on the course. We always go back and forth and that is the best part, everyday is different when we play. Its also fun because we both are around the same handicap and shoot around the same scores most of the time. So it really is a competition when we get out there. This putter would be such a cool gift for fathers day, and I know that he deserves it because he is the one that introduced me to this amazingly addictive game.

My dad and I took up golf at the same time back in the early 80's. As the years went on he has hit me with golf balls multiple times. Luckily I am still alive to win this putter. Pick me!

Dad was the driving force putting the club in my hand at my grandfathers house and having me hit balls into the cornfield and into the cow pasture. He worked hard to give me the clubs to play with when I was young. From there I've played golf with my father, my now 90 year old grandfather, and plan on playing for the rest of my life!

My dad got me started when I was in 5th grade. Today, we still play once a week. It's the best time of the week for both of us.

My dad started me(his only son) golfing when I was 12, I tried it for a year and due to my own stubbornness and stupidity I gave up too soon and pushed the game and my dad away. 5 years ago when I was 23 I picked the game back up and fell in love with the game and my dad all over again. Golf was the sport my Father and I related. My brother had baseball/football with Dad. I remember as a child the time I got to spend with just me and my Dad were at a nearby driving range. The only thing I ever asked for that I didn't have to earn my own money for after the age of 13 was a set of Wilson blades my Dad bought me, R.I.P. pop!

Just kidding, my Dad was a priest and was struck by lightning on the golf course while he was having the round of his life, died on the green and his caddie did nothing to help him. My sole purpose in life now is to break his record, all I need is a special putter for the task...

Dad had a club in my hand and walking around in his golf shoes since I was a toddler. As a scratch player in his day, he's taught me almost everything I know about the game. I cherish every round we get to play together!

My dad took me to a local par-3 when I was 6. I remember hot chocolate and a fun day with my great-grandfather. I hit into the lone water hazard, but couldn't wait to go back.

I remember going golfing with my dad when I was almost too little to remember. He had a friends camera and watched me try. I hit the ball barely and it rolled at putt speed toward my dad's friend's foot. The camera picked up an audible thud against his foot. To which he just said "ow". It was worthy of Americas funniest home videos. But we never sent it in. Maybe you had to be there. But I have been hooked since then basically.

My dad told me that if I wanted to be more successful in my career path, I'd not only have to pick up golf, but I'd have to be good at it. He bought me my first bucket of balls. Since then it's been a love affair for me. Unfortunately he doesn't play, but this putter would be an amazing reason to get him to come out with some time!

Well, my father never really played golf, but he did play a lot of sports with me growing up, and supported me all through high school no matter what I was playing. My father has a picture of me and my brother on his desk in his office while caddying for us during a trip to Colorado for their 40th anniversary celebration at a course in Estes Park.

My dad didn't play much but when I was 16 we took a vacation to Williamsburg and he suggested we play a round. Wr played at Kingsmill and it was the most beautiful course I had seen. I will never forget that round of golf!

I remember my Dad handed me down his old golden bear irons, I couldn't hit them very well but I loved them. Now I take my 9 year old son whenever possible and hope someday he will love the game like my father and I do.

The way my dad influenced me loving this game was helping me get my first set and the one I am still using to this day. We had a 50 year gap in age and he always wished he could play but by the time I got into it he was not able to enjoy the sport.

Father’s day is like any other day to me because I don’t have a dad to celebrate with. My first golfing experience was actually on a Father’s day when my friend invited me to their golfing event. It was great seeing him and his dad bond through competing in a gentlemen’s sport. I can’t change that I don’t have a dad, but I will make sure my son putts with a Bettinardi if I win.

My dad struggles at times to find the right words to truly express how he feels. The first time he took me on the course, walking towards the end of a busy day, I saw all that fade away. I saw a man who wanted to teach me a game that I could play the rest of my life and that would teach me life's lessons. For that I owe him more than he will ever know.

My dad worked way to hard raising 4 kids to spend much time on the course. I built him his 1st set of clubs after I joined the Marine Corps and took up playing the game. We have spent many hours enjoying each others company and the game of golf since. Thanks for everything dad... :>)

Let me start this by stating my Father is my hero and best friend. As the years have passed and find myself now a parent I often struggle with trying to understand how I'm going to teach my child valuable life lessons. I now realize it's as simple as going to the driving range. My Father started taking me to my local driving range when I was five years old. It was not a fancy place, nothing like what we have today. It was what appeared to be an old farm that has long since grown its last crop. Their was one owner which happened to be also the only employee. The grass was barely grass, mostly dirty and weeds...it was at this place in which I have my fondest of memories. We could never go when was the sun was all the way up because he worked 80 hours a week in order to care for me. We often found ourselves at the range around dust, I vividly remember the sun setting over the trees in the distance and I could barely see the 150 yard marker. It was just me, my Dad, and an old bucket of balls. Such a simple idea, but on that range was more then some child, who could barely hold a golf club. It was really the lesson of a life time, I learned more about life in those years spent on that decrepit driving range then I did in college. Not only did he teach me to become a man, but he gave me something in which I can never repay him for, love. The love of a game in which has helped me through thick and thin. Yes, those years...those wonderful years were the best of years that molded my future. Thank you, Dad.

My dad tried to get my golfing at around 10 years old. After a freak accident with my younger brother, we stopped playing for a few years. I picked it back up around a year and a half ago and I'm already playing off a 9! My dad loves to go to the range and practice with me. My dad is around the same skill level as I am, and there's always competition when we get on the course.

My dad wasn't a golfer....but I'll spin the story differently... I am getting my 7 year old son into the game. Every week we hit balls together...we go play a few holes here and there. And more importantly, we spend time together, working on practicing and improving, celebrating each other's accomplishments!!! If he were old enough to enter, I hope he'd say how much he loves golfing with me.

Dad gave me two of the ugliest and worst golf clubs ever and told me I had to use them until I could hit the ball straight and be sure I enjoyed the game. If after using those clubs I still enjoyed the game he would get me a proper set.

My father and I would watch golf and talk about the difficulty of the game. Before even picking up a club, my father would try to mentally prepare me for life including the difficult aspects of golf.

We still have those talks and play golf.
