Gull Lake, MI is our destination. It's not fantastic golf, but the combination of decent golf, reasonable lodging, and proximity to Chicago all contribute.

Seeing how many states claim to be in the "Midwest," a starting point would be helpful before giving advice.[list]
[*]Lake of the Ozarks area has a lot of great courses and lake nightlife.
[*]Oklahoma has casinos/resorts that have courses on site.
[*]Central Nebraska has a lot of great links-style courses for even better prices.

Gaylord, Mi. It's a mini golf mecca. Treetops is right there with 4 or 5 very solid tracks, The Tribute at Otsego is there, Forest Dunes is maybe 45-50 minute drive away and is a US top 100 course (and not crazy expensive either). I would def. head to Gaylord, Mi for golf. It's 6 or so hours from Chicago driving. 6 Hours from Columbus, Oh. 3 Hours from Det. Not sure where most of your guys are heading in from but it's a great spot for golf.

Amana colonies in Amana, iowa. Just got back 3days/2 nights in some nice condos with unlimited golf for $337 after taxes per man. It truly is a beast of a course and you will not regret it. 142 slope from the back tees!

The Loon Resort in Gaylord, MI (Butch Harmon property) will give you a great deal and also set up rounds at any of the other Gaylord courses. They include meals at their restaurant which are excellent, plus their golf townhouses are very nice. It would be cheaper than Treetops and while the Loon course is good and their Lakes course fairly ordinary, the staff is outstanding and the price is always right. We have 10 guys going for 4 1/2 rounds (3 at the Loon, 1 at Otsego Tribute and 9 at the incredible par 3 course at Treetops), two nights and 5 meals all for about $375 per man. You might get a better price if your group has multiple of 4s. (The townhouses each have 4 double rooms, but they can do half townhouse setups as well.)

Treetops is fantastic as well, but pricier. I love Treetops Premier and Signature especially and the Fazio Masterpiece is beautiful but very tough. The Tradition is the easiest and probably the least interesting of the Treetops courses.

The golf in the Gaylord area is just excellent. Take a look at the Loon and Treetops websites.

You can't go wrong with northern Michigan. Depending on the amount of driving you want to do there are good courses in the Bellaire and Traverse City areas.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
