Those wedges, specifically the progression of the grinds from a full sole on the 52* to an M-like grind on the 56* to a V-like grind on the 60* . . . looks so darn perfect. Love it.

Sadly the kid is not old enough to truly appreciate Top Gun! Tough life though--play at Stanford, dad started SunMicro, and you are playing in the US Open. Pretty Awesome!

One of the young members I work with played with Mav at a high profile event last year, and said he's a bomber. He apparently played some reasonably high level junior hockey stuff in the US, but decided he had a brighter future in golf. Can't fault him given his recent results! Supposedly a great kid, too. Kudos to his parents for not raising him like they had a $b in the bank...
