I rank which ever one is on at the time the highest, and the PGA the lowest.....always, even when it's on.
I like the main three for completely different reasons.

Masters: Rite of passage of spring. Total and complete class.
U.S. Open: National Championship and Father's Day rolled into one.
British Open: History, legacy, class. Only thing I don't like is the self-centered designation as "The Open"

PGA: Boring. Barely hanging on as a major.

Masters and could care less about all the rest. Masters coming out of winter and usually has very little commercials. All the others have gone to a lot more coverage time wise but seems like it is three shots and a 5 minute commercial break. Used to go to all 4 most years up until 5 years ago. Now only the masters as the others have lost their appeal...probably in part because of some of the courses are so variable and in many cases just plain lousy.

Masters - best course, hard to get into the field, let alone win it. The traditions are awesome.

The Open / US Open - depends what the course is. This year I would vote US Open because I found Liverpool boring. I do like how hard the US Open is, but I like watching The Open in the morning.

PGA Championship - no build up, just there. Too many randoms win it. Need to make the courses harder and get rid of the riff raff winners. We had to have 5 years of Y.E Yang at the Masters because of this tournament.

1. Masters- too much tradition and history- amazing course, beginning of Spring/huge buildup. Suffered as of late with Bubba winning twice though.
2. US Open- Big build up, tough course and conditions ensure it always weeds out the weak and a good player wins. Love when its on west coast and in primetime.
3 Open- Lots of history. Just don't get the same excitement with links course and across the coast. Don't get to see much of it unless you're up early.

4. PGA- no buildup, not hard enough which means a bunch of bad Champions and random players play well there. Plays more like a normal tour event.

How could you put an open championship in front of The Masters??

I think if you polled every touring pro who hasn't won a major and asked them which one they would prefer to win, by and large most of them would say The Masters.

Whatever driver happens to be working at the time
Some random 3 wood
My same, old irons
A few wedges...

I'm going to have to put the US Open first as far as being my favorite, simply because it is my national championship.

As far as watching them, I have to rank them all the same. They are all significantly different enough to all be a test of different aspects of the game. They are all exciting g in their own way.

I do think that the US open is a touch more exciting than the rest because the conditions are brutal. The rough is gnarly, the greens are stupid, and it is a test of every aspect of the game.

Hmm tough one...

I LOVE to watch the Masters and Augusta is just as close to heaven as you can get on Earth. I also applaud the winners and top 10 players in The Opens due to the crazy winds, hard layouts, and need of some serious skill and imagination to pull off most short game shots.

1. Masters (can't top the prestige of the Green Jacket)
2. The Open/U.S. Open (agree it depends on the course)
4. PGA Championship

1. The Open - Love waking up early to watch golf and love links golf. Something about having the day off and getting to sit down and enjoy golf from the moment you wake up until the moment you can go out and get a twilight round. By that point you're itching to play.

2. Masters - For a northeaster like myself it really signifies the kick off point and I'm basically drolling over myself for some meaningful golf. Not to mention how the course looks on TV.

3. U.S. Open - Love the history, love the courses. While it's great and I really enjoying watching it, just seems like the USGA tricks the courses out a bit much sometimes.

4. PGA - Can't say I don't watch every day, just that it's behind those other three.

Exactly how I would describe my ranking of importance, aside from the fact that I flip flop the Open and the Masters. Not by much though...

US Open - Toughest playing conditions, I like seeing players struggle to break par out there.
The Open - It represents the history of the game and golf in its purest form but it doesn't appeal to me as much without tough weather conditions.
Masters - It's the real start of the golf season but I got tired of the flowers and music rather quickly.
PGA - It's a major so it must be important, right?

1. The British Open (I know what it's called - I don't care. No disrespect is meant.)
2. The Masters
3. The US Open
4. PGA Championship

I think people are slowly waking up to the fact that it's fine for non-British to call 'The Open', the 'British Open',
That's cool that euros are waking up to people calling a golf tournament by its name. So very progressive.

The Open (the way golf is played)
The Masters (the way golf is played)
The PGA (the way golf is played)

The British (the way golf was played in 1886)
That's certainly the first thing I thought when RM won last week- "that's EXACTLY how golf was played over one hundred years ago"!

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
