How to contact college golf coaches?

How should i try to contact college golf coaches? I am a sophmore and i have only played for a year and went from a 100 to a 77 and am still improving. How should i contact a college coach? Email or what?

You're going to want to email the coaches and just let them know you're interested, give them your coach's name and number so they can contact him. Also, take it from someone who just committed to college you're going to want to play in as many tournaments as you possibly can. Coaches don't just want someone who can shoot a low number they want someone who can shoot low numbers in big tournaments because that's all college is. They're eventually, in the recruiting process, going to ask you for tournament scores. Play in as many as possible so you can show them you're good scores.

Like previously said email is a great source. You can go to colleges you're interested in going to and that you think you have a chance at playing and webpages go to their coaches and send them an email. Most will ask you for your tournament schedule. Along with that I suggest making a video of your swing with driver irons chipping and putting and offering to send it to them in an email. You're still young since this will be your sophomore to junior year summer so some coaches may not be interested in you yet. But don't take that personally. But play a lot of different courses so you get comfortable playing all different types of courses because that is a large part of golf being able to play all different types of courses a go low on them.

I regret it now but we all have to learn to live with certain mistakes that we have made. I've been through the process and got offers from A bunch of D1 and D2 schools so I know what the process is like.

My college coach always said he'd rather have guys shoot 75-65 in qualifying than 70-70.

Consistency can always come around. Not always the case with going low.

Consistently low scores.

If you can't consistently shoot even par or better, sorry to say, but you really have no shot.

D1 guys have 3 of their top 5 shooting in Red numbers every round. Even lots of d3 schools have their top 5 going red.

Can't be one or the other. Gotta be consistently both. Keep working daily, and tournaments help with that pressure.

Scores are what matters. Specifically, consistent low scores. Even to play at the D3 level you will have to consistently shoot around par or better. Schools like UT have their classes already committed through the year 2020.
