My aunt and uncle live in Towson and when we used to drive down from NH to visit my grandparents I would make my parents stop at 7-11 to buy them. I'm sure they are sold elsewhere now but my dad had AAA add the one location to our TripTik because we stopped there so often.

Got some TripTik's for our vacation to Chicago and Kentucky in August. Really neat they still do it- got all the state guidebooks and everything. My wife has had AAA all her life and refuses to part with it. I think its a waste of money, so at least I got something out of the membership out of it for once. I read once that if you break down, and tell them you have AAA, you go to the bottom of the list for tows because the reimbursement rate is so low. If you tell the company "Cash call", you are at the top of the list. One time her battery died and she called them, they came out and fixed it, and she said to me "See! Its useful!"

Me: "Um, honey, you just paid $145 for a car battery..."

One time her battery died and she called them, they came out and fixed it, and she said to me "See! Its useful!"

Me: "Um, honey, you just paid $145 for a car battery..."

Except when my battery died; Costco didn't carry it, and the local Salvo Auto Parts was charging $125 for the battery. Paying $135 for AAA to come out, replace it, and I don't have to worry about paying the deposit for the old core and returning the old battery to get it back isn't such a bad deal.

One thing to add... I think this was about the 37th-54th hole with the same k-sig. The ball looks like I dug it out of a peat bog then hit it with a belt sander a couple of times.

So related to City's posts about the MGS nonsense I wanted to go back through my GG stats from the last 2+ seasons and see how my "GIR" stats broke out. Note that GG doesnt actually use GIR for their approach stats, their % refers to a 15 yard circle around the hole - green or fringe. No this doesnt make sense for 100 reasons. But, is what it is.

 

50 to 75 yards - 74%

75 to 100 - 71%

100 to 125 - 68%

125 to 150 - 64%

150 to 175 - 61%

175 to 200 - 24%

Over 200 - 14%

 

But yeah I'm sure I'd rather have a 200 yard full shot than a 50 yard wedge shot.

So disappointed in todays topic.LOL My little 245 yard drives mean I layup because that's all I got. All you guys hit your 320 yd drives and 260 yd 3W.(been reading that for years here) Hell there are not that many par 5's longer than 550 around here. Just saying there is no layup needed.

I can only hit it 320 if I've just been in a yelling match with a ranger @ NW about basic math, e.g. 3<4.

Game golf had me at 330 on #9 at Worthington when I played with Fabb, Boogs, CFree.

 

It was (strong) downwind and off the path.

 

I ended up about 15 yards left of of the tree that's left of the path. The hole was pretty standard for my game. Drive that should have simply been OB. Downwind 4i that carried green back right. Pin was mid (low-ish?) left. Flubbed chip. Over hit chip to 15ft below the hole. Sank the par putt.
