FinishLine? There was a huge markdown yesterday and the 20% shoes are actually a lot cheaper now. i.e. Gray AM90's for $50.

Looking for a recommendation for sneakers. I'm heavy (read fat) and can not find sneakers that are comfortable or that last. Was wearing high priced NB (9 something series) and they lasted about 5 weeks. Wouldn't mind but they were $150 a pop. I don't abuse them. I do use them as golf shoes (2-3 times a week, cart not walking) and everyday wear but I'm not running 10Ks every week (obviously). I wear a common size, 11 2E and don't mind spending, but 5 weeks is not real good for sneakers.... Thanks in advance...

Using a running shoe for golf is abusing them. The 990's are not made for any lateral support so if you're using them for golf, it's enough reason why you're blowing out your shoes. You will need to buy two pairs if you want to prolong the life of your shoes by alternating them (letting the aerated EVA to decompress for at least 24 hrs.). And you will also shorten the life of your shoes if it's too big and too wide. Don't be stubborn and buy the size you measured in.

You will enjoy your two pairs. These are pretty close to the 1990 OG. Especially the tongue height.

I got 2 but in youth sizes. All I could manage, hype is indeed real. Need to flip or trade for my sizes.

 

At least the GS pair came with a sticker.
