The 97 Augusta alone is worth about 12-15k. The rest of the Tigers bring around 3-4k.

I dont think the shipping is too absurd. Think about how much it would cost to package and ship all of those putters and then add insurance for 50k onto that.

Sorry ckay, i wish the 97 was worth that kind of money, i have one, and mine is still in the case, i doubt it would get $5000.00. I think that seller is crazy taking it out of the case, and i have to agree, i think this auction is way out in left field, no way they are worth what seller is asking .

Impressive collection though, that took some work to get them all.

Oh well, i guess we shall see where it ends.

I dont think the shipping is too absurd. Think about how much it would cost to package and ship all of those putters and then add insurance for 50k onto that.

You don't UPS those and insure them. First, UPS's insurance costs are way out of line with what you could do third party. Second, UPS (and I'm sure FedEx too) will do everything humanly possible to weasle out of paying a $300 claim, let's see them pony of for $5000. It would NEVER happen. Believe me when I say I speak from experience. At last count, I had at least $2200 worth of unpaid insurance claims dating back to before 2001. Third, I'm not even sure that UPS would allow a package to be insured for that much.

You could use a bonded courier service at a third of that cost and have a much more reliable delivery.

You can use anybody you'd like to insure third party. There are many options available. And, it's more like .50 or less per $100, or right around $250.
