Course Recommendation near Trenton, NJ

Getting some car work done in Trenton by a specialists want to play while he works on it. Can anyone recommend a course close to Trenton will prob be ubering it back and forth from the shop. Not looking at anything super high end-playing trump a few days after just something reasonable to get out and play and see a new course.

I would say the closet and the most scenic of the courses. Good value for the money, enjoy.

I like Mountain View but personally, Mercer Oaks West and then East still gets my vote.

mountain view is my favorite of the Mercer courses. Probably the closest to you as well.

I played Makefield Highlands last year and enjoyed it. Just across the Pennsylvania line off 95. Maybe 10 minutes from Trenton.

I have heard good things about makefield just don't love link style course and heard the wind is always brutal there.

All the county courses are very good for a county course.

Mercer oaks West is a parkland course, considered the best of the four county courses, and usually very crowded.

Mercer oaks east is a links course. Both the west and east have multiple tees and can be played from various distances. Great driving range and practice area.

Mountain view has gotten better over the years. Considered close to and sometimes better than Mercer Oaks due to less players on the course.

Princeton is a shorter course, very tree lined. Recently the course, club house and practice areas have all be upgraded; Mercer Oaks Golf academy is upstairs with a complete club fitting/repair and 4-5 simulators.

Other courses in the area are cranbury golf club, cream ridge golf course and gambler's ridge. These are all courses they were private probably back in the 60s, but haven't really kept up with modern times. Courses are a little shorter, club house is nothing to write home about.

Also, there some very good private courses in the area, but if your asking where to play figured you don't have a connection.

Stay away from Cranbury. They overcrowd the course and tee times get backed up too much.

Previous analysis of mercer county is pretty spot on. Just got back from the grass range at mercer oaks.

I personally prefer mountain view. Some holes with nice elevation changes.

Thanks for the rec for Mountain View. Enjoyed my round walked it. Greens were super slow but nice course overall.

Nice... glad you liked it. A few interesting holes and a couple of wide open holes. I like the elevation changes
