Btw the RM Origin will be just as hard to get as the last one. So let's all not get our expectations up thinking we're all gonna get it. It's the same thing as the origin with different stamping and the oven logo on the headcover.

 

Do we all want one of course just don't want to see this thread divulge into a typical niketalk sneaker thread complaining about nikes releases and how much they actually make.

Wonder if Nike will try to avoid the debacle of the 006 release and maybe release more than 1000. If there is nothing special about them besides a RORS laser marked and a different shaft/grip setup. Why not just have the putter online for 1hr and however many sell they make. A 2min sellout for the most anticipated release ever pretty much was a big wiff I think. Maybe this release they will try to make up for that.

As a marketing major, I can tell you that the 006 was anything but a "big whiff." Nike released a highly demanded product and it sold out in minutes. That's a giant win for them. It created demand for all other putters with that body style. Hell, I bought a Method Midnight 006 with the thought of stripping the finish and making it satin, just because I missed out on the Rory 006.

 

I fully expect Nike to do the exact same thing with this one and I'd be shocked if it was any different. The only question for me, is whether or not it's a true replica of Rory's current putter. The Rory 006 was obviously an exact replica, which caused a lot of the fan fare. If this is also, then I think the demand will also be considerable.

Well Nike said on Twitter that the origin will be $349 I guess that excludes taxes? That makes it £245 which is £15 over uk retail dread to think what the LE rors will cost you guys

Rory 006 was like $450 retail (I think, forget), I'm guessing Rory origin will be $500+?
