Feel sorry for all the people getting this snow. Saw pictures on the news tonight it does not look good. I hope the snow storm blows over quickly for you all.

Nobody gets hurt. I guess you won't be playing golf for a while. That would piss me right off. Where I liver the most snow we ever had was 1cm that was ten years ago.

When I got up around 6 am Saturday morning, we had around 2" of snow. The rest of the day, the sun was shining. I feel for the people who were hit hard by the storm. The winter of 2009, Pittsburgh was hit with 2-3 feet one Friday-Saturday.

Just a comment about the Weather Channel. It seems every day, those people act as if the world is coming to an end. My mother-in-law, who had dementia, really would get shook up while watching. (She was an avid Weather Channel fanatic, even when she was normal. She would phone all her seven children, and warn them all of impending doom.)

Another item. I can't get over people who will needlessly travel to the mall, fast foods, sports related, etc. in the midst of a snow storm. STAY HOME! During the blizzard of March 1993, I was sick with the flu. I recall one pal (an alcoholic) telling me in disgust, how his favorite tavern owner told the drunks to go home around 1 pm. Another guy I knew drove a tow truck, made a ton of money that weekend. He regaled me with stories of people who just had to get out that day, and got stuck in their driveways or home streets. One idiot tried to drive a closed interstate, and got stuck on the on ramp.

I realize some people need to be out, police, fire, EMTs, etc. I'm talking about the idiots, for they seem to be the majority.

Rant over.

Was going to give you a "like" TL. But somehow, under the circumstances, didn't seem quite right. Here's hoping that everyone impacted by this storm is safe. Stay home. Do some cooking. Watch a little football and golf. The latter, may be somewhat hard to tolerate given your circumstances.

Trust everyone's snowblowers are in good working order.

I have mentioned before that I'm about a hour's drive from Buffalo. We get our fair share of lake effect snow! But, what a difference a year makes. We have maybe had 6" total accumulation this winter and most of that melted away with an earlier thaw. Still, lots of snow in neighbouring counties to the west, so my sympathies to those who are having to deal with it.

Agree with Wriggle sentiments about staying home during winter storms. I did snow removal for four years. We had contracts to clear shopping malls. It never ceased to amaze me how many idiots would absolutely have to go to the mall in a blizzard! It made it impossible to clean lots properly and you would always get a few idiots who would manage to get stuck on the access roads making matters worse! Then they would have the audacity to complain that the snow wasn't being cleared quickly enough! I would talk with other crews and we all had the same issues to contend with. It just goes to show you that common sense isn't all that common! No wonder they came up with the Darwin Awards.

My problem is LOFT -- Lack of friggin' talent

We're in good shape shoveled a little at a time. Couple scoops here couple there. They plow our cul de sac with a big pickup so the plow guy knocked out the bottom of the drive. I was going to snag one of my old clubs and have my son take a pic of me hitting a ball down into the field buuutttt that didn't happen. Lol.

I used to run into that all the time when I was a Volunteer Fireman in the Upstate of SC. Like last weekend they got the usual ice and some snow. My wife worked for a food plant there and they always had people call off saying they could not go to work--- but Wal- Mart was full! I was always out in it in my FWD because we had to run essential people mainly Doctors etc to work and help Law Enforcement check on the elderly and sick especially in power outages

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
