Ohio golf... on January 31

Just wanted to share the joy. It Is 58 degrees here in northern Ohio (Cleveland area, yes, Browns fan). The course that my league plays on opened today and we got to get some actual golf in, not simulator ( I refer to it as stimulator golf). Every few years, we in the frozen North get to golf in Januaary, not often but it happens on occasion.

That's awesome! My first round of golf ever was with my father in law on vacation it was near Ohio. I believe it was on the border of Ohio and Indiana. It was called Harbor links at sagamore resort. We went to visit my father in laws family. One of the foursome didnt show up. He asked me If I wanted to play. I shot 110 my first time out. Hope I didnt embarrass him too bad. All I remember is the course had A LOT A LOT of elevation. Hitting shots over hills and you couldnt see where it was going. Since then I have played 3 rounds of golf and a lot of range sessions. That course when I go back and think about it must be really hard =). While I was out there I just thought off this is normal.

Lucky guy! It was 53 up here in Buffalo, so I got to take a nice bike ride. But golf will be out of the question for awhile because there is still snow on the courses, and the fairways would be so soft that everything would plug.

So we played PGA National at Palm Beach later in the day - simulator. Bear Trap got me.

Cincinnati checking in! To OP, I am a former Parma resident, Holy Name alumni! What course did you get to play? I played yesterday, 62 degrees and sunny! Greens were frozen until about the 5th hole. Can't wait until April I'll be playing Pine Hills when I visit the 'folks.
