Yep, I have no business carrying a wedge like that. I've never even tried a 64. Used to carry

a 60 but now 58 is my highest lofted wedge. Mostly I use my 54 around the green. It's 

plenty of loft for me and a safer play than the 58. I mainly use my 58 for full shots in the  

70-80 yard range.

Pretty much in the same boat. I mentioned it here once before, the highest lofted wedge I carry is a 56°. Very versatile for me. I use it from the sand, around the greens and can open it up and hit a nice flop w/it. Just never felt the need for anything higher.

I finally wised up one day and decided NOT to bag any more clubs I was afraid to pull.

I bought a brand new 64° Vokey wedge. Took it to the practice range and I jarred the first shot! At that moment I declared it a very good club. It was because of that I kept it in the bag for 3 years. Now it's been in the closet for about 3 years.

Darwin was being mentioned in here a few days ago. That coupled with me wondering what effect cellphones would have on the evolution of the human body led to me Googling it! Thankfully I’ll be long gone before humans look like this. Mindy just isn’t my type!

I think that’s why my 60° stuck around for so long. Jarred a shot from about 25 yards and had dropped a number of shots right at the pin. I can count on 1 hand the number of good shots I’ve hit with it since my shoulder surgery more than 2 years ago. Blade, chunk, short pop up - you name it - everything except what I’m trying to do. It’s finally out of the bag. 
 

I think it was @Soloman1 who said a PW had that name for a reason. I’m starting to use it more often even when close. Still a work in progress, as much of my game also seems to be.

Jeffrey E in the news. Apparently more names being released. The ones came out yesterday we already knew about. Prince Andrew (not Prince the little musician haha), Bill C and D Chump (I only spelled it that was bcs apparently it’s flagged when spelled correctly 😇) I for one can say I’m shocked! 🙃 All have denied any wrongdoing. Just like Jim Harbaugh knew absolutely nothing about any sign stealing 😊And we all know Jeffrey E did not kill himself.

I was catching up through the thread and enjoying the commentary on skydiving and other similar activities. I’ve never really considered it, but I guess I’ve done quite a bit of nutty stuff like that, but never jumped out of a plane or bungee jumped. I’ve tried hang gliding, parasailing, zip lining, scuba, Via Ferrata hikes/climbs, and probably more that I just don’t recall at the moment. My wife has joined me on most of these hairbrained stunts, as many have been spur of the moment ideas. This is how we celebrated our 40th anniversary:

 

 

But I’ve gotten to where I haul my ladder out less and less, opting instead to hire out jobs that require one. I weigh around 215 and every time I pass that warning of a 200 lb weight limit stuck on one of the rungs, I wonder why I’m going up.

That looks like a good place for a golf course.  Tee box for a par 3 could be where your wife is standing.  Restricted backswing.

Since Ping, and other manufacturers, in their infinite wisdom have decided my PW should be 48° (added that for you @Soloman1) I’ve done the same. Just two wedges for me. Not sure what you call the 48° one. 
 

I’ve tried various lob wedges over the years. Most are given away or help to fill my ever growing collection of clubs in the basement barrel. With the putters and drivers. Hope springs eternal!

 

Lob wedges are the devil I tell myself every time I cast a greedy eye at one. Besides, I can flop even a 7 iron if I open it up enough.

Oh, so we’re back to golf now?

 

I have a unique, great wedge drill. You’ve probably never seen it before.

 

The thing about short game stuff is the long list of options. Whittling it down to a stock shot for the 80% (wild guess) of shots faced is a good thing to do.

 

But, I’m busy. I have a gig this afternoon with a guy who moved up from the KF to the big boy tour this year. If he gets his putting stats up, he’ll be a contender. Hits it ridiculously long. You could eat a bowl of eye-talyun chili during the hang time of his drives.

There’s a story behind that. There are spots where the cable is attached to the face of the cliff. When you reach one of those spots, you have to unclip from one side of the attachment and clip back in on the other side. That’s why you have 2 safety cords - 1 is always clipped in while moving the other. 
 

Well, the cable attachment was around the bend of where I am in that picture. I missed it. Had to go back around to get my clips over it. My wife and our guide had to wait on me, but it made for a nice photo opp!

The craziest drunk thing I have done is jump off the Stratosphere in Vegas, I was with some friends from Brasil and they were going to jump. I was going to sit at the bar up there and mock them, while standing in line to go up there was a little older lady in front of me, I asked if she was jumping and she said yes for her 60th birthday. 

Well then I had to do it, you are attached to big winch that freefalls most of the way the the brake kicks in and settles you to the ground so not really all that daring.

 

But it was still pretty exciting wondering if the brake would work.

Do they still have a roller coaster up there? I went up to ride that thing with a customer once and, while I’m normally not scared of heights, I got spooked and wouldn’t get on. Gave my ticket to someone in line.

They did then, after we all jumped we rushed right back up to ride the coaster but they had shut it down due to high wind. 

So if good fashion we stayed up there and drank till they ran us out.
