What's your favorite commercial on the golf channel?

I haven't seen this one on the golf channel yet but there is a USGA commercial with the guy teeing up on the 18th hole bragging if he gets a par he'll tie Tiger's final round in the 02' Open. His buddy points out that he'll shoot a 102 and the guy points out he's a 30 handicap. He tops the ball and says "looks like I'm going to need a long iron for this next shot." I fall off the couch every time I see that one.

Sign Boy for Foot Joy. Nothing will ever be funnier.

Best one ever according to me is when he is playing the "golden Tee" video golf game in a bar with Lefty and jumps in and cranks an errand shot in a gallery members balls. Priceless.

Do not ever stop the sign boy. Second place to his crawling out or the trunk and then tears off to Camilla's group with hotties!

I'd have to say the "Camilo Villegas (Hot Face)" is my favorite because of Feherty's face/head nod at the end. I've used that same face/head nod under similar circumstances. A lot.

I saw one over last weekend with Ernie sitting and talking with Poultier when Ernie's Daughter comes up to them. Ernie introduces her to Ian and Samantha says something like, "Daddy, is he the one you said has the messy hair, goofy clothes and not much of a game?".

 

Love the Signboy and Feherty one's too.

My fave is the one where the four guys are teeing off over water and one of them keeps hitting in the water. Finally he gets one on the green and one his buddies looks at him and says "man, that was brutal. How many balls did you just lose, like a dozen?" The guy turns to him and says "yeah, but the last 10 were out of your bag." Always cracks me up because I did that to my brother when I was first starting to play. At the time I didn't realize I had hit about $30 worth of balls into the pond. Needless to say, he was a little agitated, but everyone we were playing with thought it was hilarious!

I gotta go with the Stuart Appleby FedEx Cup commercial. the one where he misses the putt for the Cup and goes over and does the same thing with the 2 footer, but he actually makes it. I can't count how many times i have done that on the practice green...

I hate all of the Bridgestone commercials. The "let me tell ya' 'bout the big bang boom!" is bad enough, but what genius thought that it would be a good idea to try to sell golf equipment by showing tires rolling down the fairway?!?

 

And the talking Srixon ball can just die. Violently.

One of my favorite's is Signboy's birthday, just because you can just see the agony on the Tour players' face when they're singing. And then of course, Lumpy popping out of a cake at the end

The funniest commercials on the Golf Channel, or anywhere to me are the Cialis commercials. First of all, why do they show those all the time on the Golf Channel. Do they think we need that more then other guys watching ESPN, Fox News, Food TV, etc..?

 

The reason they are so funny to me is because I saw Jerry Seinfeld live a couple of years ago in Vegas and he talked about them...

 

"Have you all seen these commercials for Cialis? Its an erectile dysfunction drug and they show two people walking and laughing and then you see them laying side by side in two bathtubs looking out over the ocean or some pretty valley or somewhere. I can tell you the problem right now. Get in the SAME damn TUB!!!! I mean you're laying there 3 feet apart hopeing drugs will kick start things. Get in the same damn tub!!!"

 

After that show my face hurt. I think about that show every time I see one of those stupid commercials.

+1 on the cobra ads. My fave is still the Ian Poulter one- Feherty- "Doesn't his hair look just like the rough?" Poulter- *shrug* "What's the rough?"

The Myrtle Beach "he's still gotta make that putt" one, where the dweeb hits a shot to the green over water and goes nuts, walking into the hazard and dancing on the green. I like it mostly because two of the guys in it are old golf buddies if mine.

The other "E.D." commercials with I think his name is Steve and he's the most popular guy at the pool(shorts fall off and he's got that GRIN) or his golfing buddies have the old school drivers and he steps up to the tee with the 500cc whale appendage with that $hit eating grin again is a crack up.

Mine has gotta be the one with nike making the clubs for baby woods. Cracks me up EVERY TIME. The fedex cup commericals are great too ,the Immelman one is great, Appleby one is great, but the best I sthe Zach Johnson/Ben Curtis one. Zach goes to bed early and puts the do not disturb sign on the door cuz he's got an early tee off, then Ben Curtis switches it to maid service please or something haha. Cracks me up. The baby woods one tops it though.

I like the Fedex Cup ones the best. Funny and they seem to show a great goofy side of these guys. The Vijay/Immelman one was the first and still the best. I liked the Tiger one as well when he's talking to the picture and then like "That'll work" when the Mascot goes by. The new Appleby one cracked me up and caught me by surprise the 1st time I saw it. I laughed when he lines up the 2 footer after, gold.
