How has your range finder held up over time?

I think it may be time for a new range finder. While mine has held up quite well over time, I've had a Leica PINMASTER for probably around 10+ years and it still works great and has come through on at least 300+ rounds. I'm thinking of getting a new RF because unfortunately the local pins have no reflectors and from 200+/- I'm just having a tough time getting an accurate measurement without standing there for a minute trying to get the pin reading.

So, how has your RF held up with at least 3 YEARS WORTH OF SERVICE?

Are you still happy?

Would you get that brand again?

Hate to break it to you, but from 200+ yards if the flag doesn't have reflectors on it, the new ones won't really be any better. Even with my state of the art Tour X, if the flag is not flapping, my odds of getting it are still fairly slim. That being said, the optics are better so it's got that going for it. Plus it vibrates (psst don't tell my wife ;) ).

Went from a Bushnell TourV3 to the Tour X and the only reason I got it was for the slope feature.

I had a Bushnell Tour V3 that served me well for about 5 years. I sold it to a friend at the beginning of this year and got a Bushnell Tour Z6. It's holding up fine just like my V3. I think with just minimum care they will last a long time.

I've been using a Callaway Octane / Nikon LR550 for a while now (4-5 years). Still works great and no interest in updating (no interest in a model with a slope feature).

Yes, would not hesitate to go with another Nikon product - although I've nothing against any of the other top names as well.

LOL......I have a Bushnell Yardage Pro Tour XL. The manufacturing date is October 2004; I purchased it Spring of 2005. Works as good as the day I got it. I wouldn't have any problems buying Bushnell again but at $250 plus I'd look for something less expensive should I have to replace it at some point.

It's big in size compared to the units available today but seems to acquire targets easily with excellent accuracy. It's nice knowing exact yardage but not like my swing is precise enough to deliver measured distance with any consistency............if I can do +/- 7 yards I'm good with that.

i have two leupolds, and they have both lasted ten years. one of them finally had a problem "crosshairs" arent visible anymore - but the rf still :works". I'd buy again for sure - but I just got a Tour X today because i like the jolt feature.
