I look for spin and feel mainly for greenside control as I don't always hit as many greens as I would like.

Feel on iron and wedge play is most important for me, but it seems that all tour-caliber urethane-covered balls are close in that regard. Second to that would be ball flight characteristics. I like hitting a high ball and some models seem to better suit that.

The most important things I look for in a ball:

1. Spin rate both off the tee and maximum greenside control. I need to be able to hit all the shots.

2. Flight- I prefer a higher flight off the irons, but often prefer to flight my wedges down. Wind aerodynamacy is also important.

1. Predictable launch

2. Tour distance and spin

3. Price

The most important thing to me is feel—soft, but not mushy. Then, ideally, low ball flight.

Personally I like a ball with a fair price that gives good spin numbers and that feels good. Funny that I just ordered some Snell golf balls to test out for this year. I am personally tired of paying $50 for a dozen balls. He is hoping that they feel as nice as they sound.

Most important characteristics that I look for in a ball are trajectory control with my irons especially in the shorter clubs and spin control. Having the ability to control the spin and trajectory from 120 yards and in can make a big difference in scoring well consistently. Thanks for the opportunity.
