They've also got a lot of good stand-up.

 

Definitely agree the movie selection sucks (can't even remember the last movie I watched on Netflix), but the TV shows are a goldmine!

 

Looks like I'm going to need to check out Stranger Things...

Watched most of V for Vendetta last night. I really like that movie.

 

About to start Stranger Things. Want to finish it before The Defenders debuts in a couple of weeks.

 

My love of Pro wrestling has me wanting to give Glow a try.

Binge watched Ozark in three nights, fantastic show.

 

Great cast and I really love these shows that Netflix/Amazon are putting out that are 8-10 eps per season.

Just got through with Ozark as well. So far, Bloodlines,Narcos, and 1 season of House of Cards. I might have to reconsider my Directv package and down size my plan. Netflix is steering me away from traditional TV.

Agreed. Sometimes I hate certain schools for offering kids scholarships.

But at the same time I hate the people over the years who allowed to kids to break rules and not be accountable while growing up.

 

Also I can't stand buddy. Sure you win but it's not because of anything he brings on the field or connection wise. Season 3 I heard won't be at EMCC. And I think he's pitching a fit trying to get it back after all the times he talks about hating the cameras around. I could go on and on about him but I won't. Maybe we could start a thread just on Last Chance U

icarus is a great documentary, it starts with cycling doping then evolves in to the russian olympic team doping scandal. fascinating

 

just started the banking on bitcoin documentary. im mostly watching for info purposes as i know nothing about bit coin but it seems well done.

I honestly started hating him so much that I had no interest in Season 2.

 

I have crashed through 8 episodes of Jessica Jones that last week or so. Really liked Luke Cage when someone recommended it and with the Defenders coming out, figured it was worth a go. Really liking it, dark as hell too which I like.

Buddy is unlikeable. I spent some time in schools and I feel sorry for the kids and am glad they're getting a second chance. I suspect most of those kids suffer from dyslexia or other learning disorders they cannot disclose on TV.

 

Having said that, they're talent has given them a pass a la dexter Manley way back when who graduated from college illiterate.

 

Did I mention buddy is a doosh? He does make an effort to be more professional in the second season which I appreciated and respected.

I liked Jessica Jones much better than Luke Cage. Daredevil is still the best of those IMO. The Defenders is pretty good.

I have never found much on Netflix that I like. I have only watched a couple movies off of it and watched some of How I Met Your Mother and The Office from it. I will go back and watch the office from the start again at some point.

 

I have heard good things about Last Chance U. I went to school at Meridian CC about 30 min south of there and was up there a little bit when I dated a girl from there. Also went to watch a kid play basketball when his school came in. He turned out to be a late first rounder the next year but never did much in the league.

Im in the same boat I only watch my Directvnow for sports and some morning local news, the rest is nothing but Netflix.
