Worst "prank gift" you ever got for Christmas

Hey everyone,

Since it's December, and not November or any other month before Thanksgiving (Side note: I heard people talk about Christmas before my B-day, which was on Labor Day in September, which are two huge no-no's in my book), I thought it would make sense to make some kind of Christmas post.

By the way, I can't remember the last time I posted on this forum because life's been crazy this year, to say the least.

Anyway, I would have to say that my worst prank gift I ever got for Christmas was a gift when at that time, I was pretty confused why I even got it, but nowadays I thought it was actually pretty clever. I randomly got a surge protector for Christmas as a joke, basically saying "Christmas this year is a dud for you."

Some may find that harsh, but good thing I actually can find humor in that now.

There's got to be some good ones on this that I would like to hear.

Chris

When I was in fifth grade, in 1962, someone in my class anonymously gave me a Christmas card. The cover of the card was pretty much like all cards, didn't know what to give you, etc. The inside of the card had the comment, "You're a rat," and included a big picture of a nasty one. I was really stunned when I opened that card.

When I showed it to the teacher, she thought it was quite funny, and gave no sympathy.

I didn't think it was funny, but went along with the joke.

Kind of coming from the other side, of giving rather than receiving, I once gave all my golf buddies a combo gift of Pantene shampoo and conditioner. I told them before they opened it up, that you'll love this gift, all the golf pros use this product and it's one of the leading products on tour. It'll make you feel like a tour pro.

In small letters under the Pantene label, it says ProV. I was hoping they would get it and find it amusing. I was flat out wrong. Most were not amused and 2 were slightly pissed off. They all thought they got shampoo because it made them feel like their hair was a greasy mess and needed to be cleaned.

I learned a valuable lesson. Never ever ever ever ever trade blued Miura baby blades on the internet.

When I was younger and worked in a factory during college we had a company christmas party of about 200 people. We did secret santa and everyone watched me open my gift. The gift I received was a pair of silk boxers with a tie down the front with a measuring tape on it and it said "how do you measure up?" I loved it..... they loved it when I came out of the bathroom wearing them.

I think the Pantene was a great gift.

But, maybe, I'm too practical.

now imagine if someone tried that today? The school would get sued, the teacher would be suspended (with pay), and all the kids would have to watch some type of anti-bullying video/presentation/show

Not a Christmas gift, but long ago, thirty five million years ago, when the missus and I were courting, Valentines Day was coming up. My dear girl upset me in some way, and I was really angry. So, instead of giving her flowers, or some romantic gift, I bought her a compact bicycle pump, and a lighter to lighter jump starter for her car. She was quite upset with me, handed me back the bicycle pump, and told me where to shove it.

I took the pump back to the store, and exchanged it for a oil filter for my car.

(She once bought me a six pack of small V-8 juice cans, wrapped as a present.)

Maybe, we're just a tad too practical. Although, I did buy her Chanel #5 perfume for a distant Valentines Day. Over $100, it's still sitting gathering dust. I don't think she used it once. I think every lady should be given French perfume, once in her life. Even my Dad sent my Mom perfume when he was stationed in Paris during WW2. Mom didn't use it either.

There's a reason they call it eau de toilette... ;)

My problem is LOFT -- Lack of friggin' talent

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
