I had an out-of-state wedding to attend this past weekend, so I had to pass up an invite to the grand opening. From what I hear, it is all it was hyped up to be. I am looking forward to getting out and playing it soon.

I played there again today. The greens are a bit firmer than they were over the weekend. It wasn't a good idea to fly the ball pin high with anything longer than a 9i.

Man I like this course.

Fairways and rough are very generous, but if you get outside that boundary, you will pay dearly for it.

The sand in the bunkers is soft and some greenside bukers are deep

The greens are big which means you might end up with some long putts of 60-80 feet

On a couple of holes, you better hit the green. There just isn't any good alternative

Most of the holes allow for an out on either the left or right side of the green, but not both. If you miss on the wrong side its going to cost you ...........

I think you'll really like the course. I dont know how anyone could not like it except for maybe the bomb and gouge guys that play out of the trees. The fairways and rough are generous enough, but if people get outside of that boundary, its thick thick thick

There are 3 practice greens, but they arent ready yet. Driving range wont be finished until springtime.

I played on Saturday. I enjoyed the round even if my score didn't reflect it. It will definitely take another time or two playing it to get a better grasp on strategy/placement to put myself in the best positions.

The course was in great shape. It looked very different than before when it was Shallow Creek and then Southern Hills. There was a lot of undulation/elevation change that made it really visually appealing. The greens are still a little firm, but that is to be expected with them being brand new. By spring, they'll be in excellent condition. It was tough to get many shots from long range to stop on the green (or on the correct tier of the green). With never seeing the layout of most of the holes before in person, there were quite a few times where I just flat aimed at the wrong spot. There were some holes where we hit good golf shots that just caught the wrong hill and ended up rolling well away. I'll definitely be back again soon. Here are some pictures of the course.

This is #16. 326 from the blues or 252 from the whites. It is a risk/reward hole with a layup/landing area off to the right.

I really want to play this course. I've been trying to get a few buddies to go golf with me, as I don't want to play it by myself, but can't seem to get anyone to go. I'm sure i'd shoot a 100 on it, but it looks to be awesome.

In case anyone is interested in an update, the Driving Range is now open.
