Papago Canceled Tee Time Refund?

I had a non-resident tee time at Papago that I reserved online about 2 weeks ago and had to cancel due to travel/airline problems messing up the whole trip. I gave more than 48 hours notice to the golf course before the tee time for the cancelation. I then noticed that they apparently had charged my credit card the full greens fee ($88) when I originally booked the tee time. There was no choice when I booked online for prepaid, not prepaid, etc., it It's been a few days since I canceled and they have not refunded it. Anyone know what there actual policy/practice is? I looked on their website and the confirmation emails and there is pretty much nothing regarding their policy. Am I out the 88 bucks or do I have a legitimate claim to get my card credited back? Just wondering if anyone has had this issue with Papago and what happened before I call the course and question it, which in my experience isn't always fruitful when you are a tourist from 2,000 miles away.

First thing I’d do is contact your CC company and tell them to stop payment on it. Then contact the course and see what the deal is.

I would just contact the course directly. Their customer service is actually really good there.

This. Papago won't try and screw you, they're booked solid damn near every day. Call them and tell them the story, they'll do right by you.

IMO you gotta pick up the phone and call the golf course. To them you look on the tee sheet like someone who paid and went out and played that day. As of right now they have zero idea you were never there. I mean obviously when you cancelled (and it wasn't clear "how" you cancelled btw) they should have removed your name and CC info from the sheet. Clearly they didn't. When you call if you get resistance from the first person who answers the phone in the shop? my suggestion is keep politely requesting the chain of command until you get up to even the Director of Golf.

Directly with Papago on their website. Shows on credit card statement as "QUICK18 TEE TIME".

Definitely call them if you haven't already. Only reason I asked is I've never had to prepay booking papago direct but I'm a city card holder so don't know if it's different

I called the pro shop, the guy (who couldn't have been any nicer) took my contact info and the tee time info, said he had to send it to a "corporate office" for review. I'll post what ends up happening with that. He did ask if I had selected a "prepaid" rate on their website, as he said they usually don't charge people when they book even though they take the credit card info. Honestly if it said "prepaid" I missed it, but whatever it was, it was the only option for a non-resident to book a time on their website.
