Favorite Hybrid or Baffler-Raylor from Rough

Was thinking about the Cobra F6 Baffler but it may not have enough loft.

 

What's your go to club out of the rough on longer holes?

I play TEE E8 Beta 3 wood so imagine their hybrids are solid

Adams Tight Lies fairways are superb from the rough and are roughly hybrid-sized. And cheap!

Nike Sumo SQ Hybrids have always worked well for me, even in thicker wet or dry rough.

Funny - I have an older Cleveland Halo and it looks almost identical to the picture you provided. Maybe Mizuno copied the Halo!

I'm still working out my confidence with the F7 as I just put it in the bag over my trusty Fly Z, so I hit the baffler still a lot more out of the rough. I have it set at 17.5, and just yesterday I hit it out of a wasteland area in Charleston that had to fly over some bare trees about 20' high and I had no hesitations to hit it for my second shot on the par 5. Got back in play for an 85 yd wedge into the green and 2 putted for par. The baffler seems to hit better the worse the lie and the easier you swing. You can get some great shots being aggressive, but it's just my easy safety club that I kind of look at as a 175-200 wedge.

Unfortunately the hybrid was a winter purchase so it has only seen indoor sim golf. The baffler I got late last year and used a few rounds. I found it easy to hit from the rough (and a rocket from the fairway) but haven't been able to compare it head to head with the hybrid

The triangle head Taylor made Burner rescues are pretty amazing, especially the tour models. I play one at 18*. You can find them sub-$40.
