Sylvan -  April 30th .... +1C, light rain mixed with snow, 20 kmhr west wind & that didn't stop this guy who just finished 18.

Green situation at the country club is worse than I initially heard. Temps pretty much everywhere by the sounds of it. Hopefully they get it rectified relatively quickly.

I just got an email that the old course opens Friday. Think they have just been on the links course so far. 
 

I played there in the fall. Was in ok shape. I don’t think it is as good of a course as it is hyped to be

i’ve only heard crappy things, for quite awhile, I was hoping to hear something good. Ok shape is almost good news.

I quit smoking in the early 80's, today in Sylvan it felt like I smoked a full pack, needed to use the inhaler, you could barely see the flag on Par 5's, the wildfire season is here again ... really sucks when you walk to get exercise and have to deal with this heavy smoke.  Looks even worst around Edm and I imagine further north, too.

I was in Grande Prairie. My wife said there was smoke in Bragg Creek yesterday and wondered if we got it up north lol. I could barely see by the end of the round my eyes were burning so badly. Much better today with a bit of a breeze.

In a shocking turn of events the long weekend will yet again be miserable! Smokes cleared out atleast. 

 

Very happy with how priddis came out of winter, got 18 in friday and played 27 on saturday. Went for brunch at the Country Club for mothers day and its a tough scene, 3 was the only green I could see that was in play, temps everywhere else.

Super smoky in Edmonton area all last weekend too

Sylvan Lake, May 19th, 11:00 am a hail storm passed through while golfers were out, would be tough to make a putt this morning.
