Fox helmet opening this weekend on temps

Can always count on the Fox to get things fired up early! I might wait a bit longer to see if anything less dangerous, perhaps with some real greens opens up in the next week 🙂

Fox hollow is not to bad. I really enjoy the back nine there

I am hopeful some of that snow will be absorbed. Seems first or second week of April would be a probably time. We need the moisture so long term it’s better than an early open with super crap conditions. Woo one set my new irons will be here prior to opening!

Going to be passing through Ponoka in the summer. Probably only have time for 9 - so do they allow you to play the back 9 on the Links course by itself?

Was really good. Greens decent for March! And no wind and 20 degrees in the sun. Was great to be out! Game needs some work!

Awesome! Glad you got out! I am getting pretty excited for three weeks if everything goes well!

Game always needs some work for the first five rounds. I am sure you played well.

The back 9 is great, you are bang on there. I always found the course played better the drier they keep it.

I'm going to Vancouver to visit my brother and play a bit of golf on the 12th of April and have just accepted that I won't be playing here before that.

The goat track in Grande Prairie (Bear Creek) opened up 9 holes yesterday at noon. I think you'll need flippers and water wings to play it, but it's open...

I have read that a number of public courses are opening in Edmonton this week. Several ranges are already open I believe.

And we just chilling in Calgary…. Another 25cm of snow this week…

Calgary folks, do you have a go to indoor practice facility that uses either trackman or GC Quads? The place I had been going to last year has closed its doors...

Golf future has the top tracer range outdoors. All stalls have it. Compared it to my buddy’s gc quad. It was within 1-2 mph on ball speed

The forecast is looking better. That 25cm has been downgraded to more like 10cm. Also, the overnight temperatures and daytime temperatures for those couple of days are much more mild, so unlikely anything sticks for more than a couple days. We're slowly moving in the right direction 🙂 Slowly.

The Ranch is supposed to open this weekend. Millwoods pretty soon too.
