Mike Flynn is Amazing

I know Mike's customer service reputation is well known but I had to take a minute and share this with the group. Saturday morning I backed over my son's golf bag as we were leaving for PGA Junior League Practice. It was a freak accident from switching cars and all sorts of other incidents in the morning. Summation was though Daddy made a huge mistake. Thankfully the only casualty was the driver shaft snapped at the hosel. Little man was destroyed as he has gotten incredibly confident with his new driver. He played a tournament Saturday with his USKids driver but did not have the same confidence. Saturday night I went to Mike's website to order a replacement shaft and the adapter for the XR16 was not on the drop down menu. I emailed Mike and explained the situation and asked if he had any XR16 adapters in stock. Low and behold on Sunday afternoon I got an email from Mike who had gone ahead and looked up our old order, recreated it, sent me an invoice, and even gave me a little discount as a returning customer. This morning I log into my email and have the shipping confirmation already so it will be here well before the weekend. You just can't ask for any more than that!

Mike is awesome.

That stinks. We were on the way to the golf course last weekend. Pulled out of the driveway and my sons bag fell off the back of the cart. It was secured the previous day. Either him or his buddy was playing around with the latch and left it open. His 3W snapped in half. He had a tournament that afternoon and had to throw the 5W in the bag. The good news is I think he has talked himself into pulling the 3i out and putting the 5W in.

Little man actually drove the ball well accuracy wise (I think he was 6/7 or 7/7 on fairways) but the distance drop was pretty severe using the USKids TS driver. I didn't realize the severity of the distance difference until Saturday. He did not play well but I really don't think it had to big an effect, I honestly think he just needs a tourney break at this point as that was 4th week in a row. Plus, as I stated in another post he is just in a weird place on tournament golf right now. Learning how to focus and play his best for 9 holes is not going well so any distraction is troubling for him.

Yeah I would think 5 wood over 3 iron for sure!

He hits the 3i well, I just think he hits the 5W better. The Fg V6 irons are weak in that they have very traditional lofts. His 3i loft is 21 degrees and the P790 3i is 19 degrees. It is more like him hitting a 4i.

I have been bored at work today as this is my slow time of year (West Blocton school website stinks BTW...) so I have been looking at a bunch of stuff today and spending money on golf accessories online. There is a huge difference in lofts from Players Irons to Game Improvement irons. M4 7i loft is 28.5 degrees compared to the P790 at 30.5, while the FG Tour is 35 degrees. That is a huge disparity.

Haha yeah I use to coach golf there but haven't in a few years and I am actually changing schools after this year but I can't change my screen name so I am just rolling with it!

Mike is by far the best. I've dealt with similar issues. I once ordered the wrong length and he took care of me. His shipping speed is absurdly fast. Mike will always answer questions as well.
