Last time we played, HBD mentioned that at the Costco food court he can get like 1000 calories for $7. (my reply, "we're not living in a food scarcity.")

 

I'm wondering how many calories he got today for how much money (I'd like to see someone try to maximize this ratio.)

 

And, if a similar strategy like that had anything to do with the quantity of Prep-H being purchased by his CostCoComrade?

 

Golf HBD talks about working out, the gym, and being "low-carb". Ryder Sales Pro HBD houses footlong dogs and pirogies at Costco 4 days a week.

 

I go sausage sandwich (toss the bun) and either the "chicken caesar salad" or the chili. All extremely low carb to low carbish options. I think when you pair the sausage and the chili it's gotta be pushing 800ish calories for $7 and change.

Funny you should post that, Gmen. While waiting to place my food court order today, my mind was racing trying to figure out exactly why this dude in front of me in line needed all this prep H and soothing rubbing oil.

I tried a Frito taco thing at Taco Bell off the $1 menu - pretty sure it was 640 calories.

They want $10/month to upgrade me to the next level TV package, which has the golf channel, and 149 other channels IDGAF about.

 

I think I'm gonna hold out and see what the Discover GolfTV thing ends up being all about.

You can get some live coverage through PGA Tour Live. I just went to check the price and their website though, and it looks like they are converting to NBC Sports Gold. No clue what that will be.

 

I want to say it was $40 or $50 for the season this year. And you can watch any Thursday/Friday round, plus early coverage on the weekends. You don't get prime time Saturday/Sunday coverage though. But between that and all the free streaming coverage for the majors, it can be enough of a golf fix to get you through the year.

I think PGA Tour Live is dollar for dollar the best $ I spend on sports / tv broadcasting. Usually have some good feature groups and some different broadcasters.

 

I've watched games on the NBC Sports Gold app before - actually some golf may have come on that app too. Its fine.

I imagine you are still going to have to pay for GolfTV if you're outside of the US. So at that point why would you use one...just to be able to pay/use for their new app when you could just pay for the one thats already based here.

I don't use one, but it should allow you to watch it if they are blocking US IP addresses. However, you may need a non-US billing address just to be able to buy the right package.
