I cant wait for the bins full of G400 MAX drivers in January after the PGA show news

There may indeed be some but I'd bet Callaway pushed 2x-3x the total number of Epic drivers out the door than Ping did with G400 Max. Ping usually does a decent job of matching production with demand, Callaway like Taylormade tends to over-produce everything that they think will be "hot".

I don't think there are as many Scottys in the wild as WRX/BST would make it seem.

I dunno. The most common brand of putter I see over the course of a month or a year or whatever is probably a close race between "Cameron", "Odyssey" and "Ping". Of the three off the top of my head I'd rank them Odyssey, then a tie between Cameron and Ping for second place.

Of course the majority of putters I see are any one of dozen of different brands. But those are the Big Three.

Was there really an over-abundance of breakage issues with the Epic heads or was that issue about average considering the number sold?

I know four guys who had this driver, three had breakage. Those are the only three guys I've ever known to break a driver in my entire life. *shrug*

I believe the early ones had quite a bit of problems, most common was the weights shearing off. Several people also had issues with the carbon fiber weaving

It was a complicated driver to make. Twice as many steps as any other Callaway driver prior. I believe the quality issues were real, though Callaway will replace them of course

Me personally, I have the first lefty SZ released to the public and have had no issues, however. So many of them, even the early ones through QC did hold up
