What was the first putter with the Odyssey #9 shape?

Is the Odyssey #9 shape an original design or was it inspired by an earlier putter? Thanks

first one i saw was a Wilson TPA, i am sure there were others before

You could go back to hickory shafts for the general shape and being heel shafted. As mentioned before, the Wilson was the first one I remember with the cavity.

Thanks. I've been using a #9 or a Toulon San Francisco for about a year now and wanted to know more about history of the shape.

There is a really old Taylormade in that shape too, not sure if it's older than the Wilson variant

I don't know about historical old the putter Wilson and Taylor Made XVIII. Long ago, I went to GolfTown shop and looked new putter...

 

I really like Odyssey White Hot #9. Later 1yrs...I don't like grip changed SuperStroke Putter. Played on golf course. Longest putter break line about 50 feet in sink in cup. I dropped my jaw and shocked.
