Non-ebay sources of classic clubs

Just moved to southeastern, Montana. There is not a Goodwill store within about 150 miles of me. I can't stand ebay. Can anyone recommend other sources for finding classic clubs? Preferably online since everything is so far away.

Depends on how you define "classic". Globalgolf.com and 3balls.com (same company) have pretty big inventories of some older stuff. They accept returns within 30 days so you can shop safely. MikesGolfOutlet.com is another source worth trying. Good luck!

Estate sales are a good source. Sometimes you can find old clubs, from the '50's and '60's, that are in really good shape. It's a matter of spending the time to try and hunt them down. Lots of time spent finding nothing but every now and then you get lucky.

Most people on this site have clubs, might just ask what you are looking for and someone will have it

Usually will just ask shipping unless a real collectible

I've got a couple sets that I'm looking to move. Hogan Apex BH Grinds and '69 MacGregor MT Tourneys (step soles). Also, a set of Spaulding Model '76 woods (1-5)

I'm curious why the hate for ebay. I've picked up some good deals from thrift shops and private sales (gumtree is, AFAIK the equivalent to CL here) and a couple of members here - but I still think the choice and browsability of ebay is great and I've had no real bad experiences. Buyer protection is pretty solid - I think there are probably more pitfalls for sellers than buyers.

I'd agree eBay is a good place to find clubs. The main perk of finding them locally is the prices are often lower and no shipping charges.

If you know what you want though, it's easy to find on eBay rather than going on countless thrift runs until you find it.

I wouldn't own any vintage clubs if it wasn't for eBay. It's as simple as that. I've tried thrift stores, second hand shops, all the typical bricks and mortar options and found nothing worth taking home. Anything that was worth it was more expensive than bidding in an eBay auction, shipping included.

Ebay is ok for buying complete sets, but you will pay when trying to find a few stragglers when trying to complete a set.

Prut, lately I've got more competition, coupled with favorite thrifts and flea markets closing, so I'm finding single clubs and utility clubs and fewer iron and wood sets. I have had some good luck on the family's annual beach vacation. I married into a family of fishermen, so while they head to the fishing piers, I have a list of thrifts and flea markets I check out every year. So, depending upon your vacation and business travel plans, I would recommend that you do a little research and incorporate a few stores if you can.
