Had never heard Hot Tuna's Water Song.  Likey.  Downloaded to my Spotify "Mega Deck Karnival" playlist.

 

Story time:

This weekend I was driving a bus of women college golfers back from a tournament listening to pop-country and pop music from my copilots play list (one of the women golfers).  I'm dying listening to this stuff so I ask if she'll play the "Rain Song" by Led Zeppelin and give me her honest assessment.  Well, I forgot it was 7:39 minutes long so that probably didn't help my cause but when I asked her for feedback afterwards she said "I don't like it".  I said "that's ok... but can you tell me why?  Can you appreciate the orchestra in the background?"  She just said "I like lyrics".  I said "yeah, not many lyrics in that one so I'll give you that".

I can't tell you how shallow the lyrics were that I listened to for almost 2 hours.  I'm getting old n cranky, I know.

Caveat: I do like some pop-country like Chesney, Stapleton, Florida Georgia Line, etc but some of it blurrs into bubble gum pop which isn't my cup-o-tea.
