Still can't hit driver (episode II ) ((with video))

This time I have a target view.

Well It was saturday.. and I went to the range again.

Hit all of my irons well. Then came the dreaded driver.

The only time, out a whole 30 ball bucket, that the ball even went more than 100 yards.. it was a nasty hook.

I look at this video and see NOTHING that would make me think that crappy ball flight was the result.

I hope someone can spot the flaw and point it our to me.

I can't see anything totally horrible from that video. I'd say go back over the fundamentals, is your grip sound? Other than possibly being cleared before you hit the ball and going left I see nothing all that bad. Where are you hitting it on the face? It's amazing to me that your swing looks way more fundamentally sound than mine, yet I have no real trouble with the driver except I can't consistantly draw it. How is your release? Possibly just releasing early and snapping it shut before impact?

last month I had the same problem couldn't hit the ball anywhere. so i searched on youtube for some instruction vids and found this guy. I watched these vids and next day at the range i was hitting every club again.

 

= grip/wrist

 

= driver tip

 

= hogan power move

 

and there many more

 

youll see more of his vids on youtube there all good nice simple instuction to help you understand the golf swing. you can even email the link to your swing video and hell help give you some tips. this is great stuff and should be watched.

How about standing a bit closer to the ball and bringing the club behind you a bit more? Looks like you're close to topping the ball and your club head swing plane is a good bit more upright than your shoulders.

 

please disregard as I have NO qualifications or skills to analize your swing... but if you only barely hit 1 out of 30 you don't have much to lose. ;)

the swing aint that bad, ie the position at the top is actually fairly decent. Keep your head down is my advice. Not complicated, but its all I can see

Hard to tell from back view only, here's one theory.

Sometimes a hook comes from left shoulder being wide open; I had that problem on and off with driver and not with irons. Set up a club on the ground along your feet, take a club and hold up to your chest/shoulders, and see what the alignment looks like.

On your video (and disclaimer, it may be the angle the vid was taken from), I don't see your left arm at all. That was a big no-no from my instructor.

check your setup - it appears that your arms are extended and not hanging naturally, also it looks like you are coming up and out of your spine angle - stay down and don't come up into your finish until the ball is long gone and your follow thru extension is complete, apart from that it's really hard to tell based on this video

Distance from ball.... I have not heard that one before... But I HAVE thought of it.

 

With my irons I then to stand over the ball more... But with a longer shaft.. the driver makes me want to stand an extra distance away from the ball.

 

I guess I need a lesson.... I really appreciate all of your help.

you club face is very shut on the back swing mate. Im guessing u hit it very low and hit a lot of hooks. you might want to work on that. check your grip is neutral. if its not that, then u are just shutting it down on the back swing
