Beware of seller TJETSKI - 6 negative feedbacks within a month (now 9 as of 5/27/24)

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Seller tjetski has received 6 negative feedback over the course of this week. Transactions with buyers occurred between April and up to recent May 16th. Seller was communicative up to point of sale and included a printed label with buyer's address but the tracking information never updated. Further investigation indicated that the package was never scanned by the carrier and seller is potentially creating the labels to give buyers the ease of mind.

Given the posting history of the seller, I gave him the benefit of the doubt but I still proceeded to work with PayPal. Seller's last communication with me was Monday 5/21 acknowledging the lost of package through dropping off with his company and promised 110% refund asap, which never occurred. Instead, I personally initiated a refund with Paypal.

Other buyers, please chime in with your story so we can get to the bottom of this. Did you guys also encounter the same story? It is pretty irregular for the same story to occur for 2 months.

@ilikegolf26

@tigercolt77

Shipping label was provided to me on 5/16/24. Please provide details of when you "received" a tracking info would help with the timeline.

Same scenario with me. Paid promptly through PayPal on 5/12, was told it was boxed up and would be dropped off Monday, 5/13. Said he got busy on Monday and would drop off Tuesday. No response on Tuesday. Thursday, 5/16 he stated he dropped it off at his company’s shipping warehouse and it would go out in the morning. Also provided me with a shipping label and tracking number.  Told me that package would arrive Friday 5/17 but UPS tracking never showed that it was dropped off. On Monday, 5/20 package still wasn’t showing dropped off so I questioned him and he said it must have been lost or stolen and he would refund me 110% but his PayPal was locked. I told him I didn’t want an extra 10% and just wanted my money back so I filed a dispute with PayPal. Haven’t heard from

him since.

Bought in April.

Got shipping label and it never updated.  He said he had a family emergency had to go to Connecticut, but would ship when got back.

Message from his wife that he was in the hospital with sepsis.  He indicated his wife didnt know how to ship, but would have friend help him when he got home.  Said friend helped and nothing.   Finally got a different shipping label and it did not update.  He said someone at his work moved the boxes and it missed pickup but he laid eyes on the box and it will update.  Then he said its out of his hands bc its shipped even though no shipping updates and he would payback 110%.

This week I opened Paypal dispute.  He said paypal account is locked.  I said I have venmo and he was going to see if his wife would use that.  Nothing back.

Im sure i missed a few other excuses why it wasnt shipped in there.

Hah this is like all the classic scam delay tactics all in one thread. "my warehouse" "my wife" "wife doesnt know how to ship" "my friend is helping" "its in the mail" "sorry im on the hospital"

This reeks of a hacked account, but it still sucks.

@squishyy I received a copy of a shipping label on 5/7 which still is showing the item has not been dropped off.

So it seems packages were lost/stolen twice. This is very fishy. Thanks for the information.

Agreed. Doesn't make sense to go from almost 100 positive feedback (and who knows how many transactions without feedback) to immediately start scamming everyone.

It'd be interesting to compare the PayPal account addresses for the recent transactions and their previous positive ones.

For me it was initially the wrong item. I sent it back and then the stories began. Anything from "I'm in the hospital", "my wife dropped it off", "a buddy is helping", and "here is the label". No item was ever dropped off and I finally had to open a PayPal case to get a refund.

Same story here. He reached out to me from my WTB add for a Master’s gnome. He gave me his cell number and we sent texts back and forth about the item. Seemed like a great guy so I sent him money for the gnome and he was going to ship next day. Then, like others, he said he had a family situation come up and would ship when he got back. Then silence until his wife messaged me about his health condition and apologized several times and that the item would ship asap. Fast forward 3 weeks or so and he messages me on golfwrx saying none of his items are showing up as shipped and his PayPal account is froze but will refund payment plus 10%. He talked about how bad this was for him and that his reputation is damaged.

no refund and no more communication on here or via the cell phone number we had exchanged messages on about a month ago.

because he seemed legit and with great feedback I sent the payment (stupidly) as friends and family because he was helping me out with the gnome, bummer for me.

No one should be sending friends and family. It’s been said a million times on here.

if someone asks me to send F&F, I will not transact with them. It’s a huge red flag. Don’t do it.

with that said, it’s still amazing how many sellers ask me to send them  payment via FF.

Exactly. If the seller can't afford/doesn't want to pay PayPal fees they owe on their item(s)they shouldn't be selling here.

At the end of the day some sellers are simply flat out cheap and tighter than two coats of paint. If you can't afford the selling fee from PayPal too bad. If ducking the fee why are you selling to start with? Money issues? Hmm...... Red flag zone if asked to pay F&F as stated.

SS buyers, in spite of numerous warnings, and many transactions going bad, keep doing so. F&F payments continually prove the adage common sense isn't common. Ad infinitum.

Why didn’t you leave any feedback for tjetski (you still haven’t)? Feedback on this guy probably would have saved at least one or two of us from falling for this scammers scam.

Well, he was still communicating with me on messager here and after the “nearly died” message about having sepsis I gave the benefit of the doubt. I will leave the negative feedback now.

It’s bad when you’ve been on wrx so long that any time you see someone say they were in the hospital in a deal or no deal , that you immediately assume bullxxxx

In one of my college classes, a girl missed a class because of her grandmother's death.  The professor asked to see a copy of the obituary or a funeral notice (not sure what they are actually called--one of the cards that has a picture of the deceased along with some info and generally a  Bible passage--they are often by the guest sign in at funeral homes).   I also recall the Seinfeld  episode where George tried to scam a bereavement rate on an airline.   Next thing you know, golfwrxers will start asking for hospital discharge papers or documentation of a visit.  lol

I've had legitimate family or medical emergencies happen a couple times  (plus one weather situation--I'm 30 minutes away from a trusted UPS dropoff) but always let the buyer know.  The item was only delayed by one day and it was never an issue.    I understand the concern, though.

So I think I'm the last "buyer".  Same story - purchased April 12, excuses started that week, heard from his wife, etc.  Finally went to PP to start the refund process late last week.

Given we had all been VERY patient, makes me wonder 2 things - 1) as others have said - whats up with him?? and 2) Once he said he had shipped/lost  the packages he basically lost the ability to continue to stall  - why do that??

This is my first ever  PP refund process, but from what I've read here over the year PP seems to greatly favor the buyer and this case (hopefully for all of us) is pretty easy to decide????

I wonder how long the refund process will take since he seems to have told most of them that his account is locked.
