Sometimes I forget that this tour is largely comprised of very young players. I think Ryu made some comments last year that playing a lot in a row is becoming more difficult, as the body just doesn't respond like it used to. But relatively speaking, she is much older than most.

 

I like the LPGA's schedule with some breaks in it (although not any for the next 12 weeks). For both tours, I wonder if you could get better fields by having more off weeks? While this may improve the product theoretically, practically this will probably never happen, as you'd be cutting absolute dollars in the short-run and telling sponsors "thanks but no thanks." There are also some 2nd tier tournaments that have great support locally and are popular among enough of the players.

 

I hope Danielle is OK, but it doesn't seem good.

It took her 6 shots to get on the green; may be two water and a sand.

She'll recover; she's good for at least 4 birdies a round.

Yeah probably in the water or OB a couple times, there's no sand save stat so she probably wasn't in the bunker. Or in the water and Rickie Fowler ball drop, I hope not lol

Jennifer Song isn't a stranger at the top of the leaderboard; she just hasn't closed the deal as yet.

It won't be easy; Nelly Korda is 2 back, she could go -10 over the weekend.

They aren't alone.

There're only eight rookies, including Lucky 6, inside top 100 official money out of forty or so 2018 Q-Series qualifiers.

LPGA doesn't make life easy for them.

Too bad we haven't seen too much Muni on TV; she's the only player other than Michelle Wie and Lexi Thompson to have more than 200,000 Instagram followers.

Even though purse is small but the strength of field is strong; the winner will earn about 53 Rolex points.

Nelly Korda should seize the opportunity. She'll be entering USWO as top American if she finishes solo fourth this week.

More importantly, she'll reestablish herself after disappoints at ANA, Hawaii and Los Angeles.

I contacted the LPGA about stats that were not available on the website. They said that they are currently working on a new platform for the media. At this time the media is provided a data package that isn't available to the public. Hopefully once the site goes live us fans can convince them to make the data available to the public.

My bad there was an error in the tweet it was the 10th hole not the 11th

Hard to predict the final round. The first 5 have shot 65 already (Brooke 64). Gut says Nasa and Brooke will slug it out. Carlota not the best finisher, Song and Bronte Law still unknown quantities....... A real air of suspense here......
