And just like that Angel grabs a share of the lead at -3 after 10 holes. Lol. That doesn't bode well.

Not mentioning names, but a certain flying baby elephant is within one shot of the lead.

Actually, Minjee won the Hugel with a 3rd round triple on the par 4 3rd.

For context, this is how I feel watching her play.

Anna at the top of the leaderboard? Didn't see that coming.

Even with the big number, Na Yeon and In Gee both finished under par.

She hasn't had a top 10 since August 2018 (15 events), and missed the cut in her last two tournaments.

I'm stoked to see Anna up there, although she hasn't shown it lately she`s one of the best Europeans out there. Soon enough Bronte Law will creep her way to the highest ranking European.

I know players don't like missing the cut but I wonder how much motivation Danielle will have to push to make the cut. Getting to the US Open couple days early and not pushing yourself to hard might be what is desired. I think Danielle would have to go -5 tomorrow, doable just not sure how much energy you'd wanna spend with the Major next week

Good point about USWO next week!

Being a two time US Women's Amateur champion; I'm sure Danielle loves nothing more than winning US Women's Open to complete her resume.

Danielle wouldn't care about missing the cut on a $1.3 million event; but she'd be pleased to shoot -5 in preparation for next week.

I wondered if Tiger was making sure he didn't make a birdie late in round 2 of the PGA ?.

Generally, I think it's hard for anyone not under 25 to play three weeks in a row, absent the rare times when someone is just flushing everything. I'd think playing the weekend this week is probably fine given the break they've had. And if anything the scores from a lot of big names suggest they could probably use the tournament reps vs hitting balls or playing a casual round. I think the worst is expending a lot of mental energy to get back in it Friday-Sat and then flame out for a 5th-15th finish...

Yeah the mental energy is what I was talking about most girls are in such good shape, the physical isn't a big deal, you can recover with a good night sleep lol. Say with Danielle she would have to spend lots of energy focusing and putting pressure on herself to make the cut. Then you are rewarded with a 7:30 Am Tee time lol. You are right everyone should be well rested right now and the extra tournament rounds would be helpful but for Danielle depending on what she shoots tomorrow could use technical work on her game more than playing through it, tough to say cause it's just one bad round. It's also important to compare the courses this week and next. Are they similar or are they completely different. I would say you always wanna do the best you can but I'm also sure a few players around the cut line who don't make it won't be devastated by that fact lol

She hasn't really played up to her norm since 2017. 8 top 10's in the last two years. I agree her fitness is affecting her game, only she can change that though.
