OK, here we go. This event starts a string of 12 straight weeks of tournaments, including 4 majors.

The weather forecast looks great, with temps in the upper 80's and low 90's, light winds, and little chance for rain. On the other hand, the TV coverage is pretty weak with only two hours on Thursday and Friday. Pfffft.

With the U.S. Women's Open next week, and no tournaments for the past 3 weeks, I find it a little odd that a number of top players are sitting out. Missing from the field are Inbee, So Yeon, Amy, Eun-Hee, and Lydia. Inbee and So yeon did play in Korea last week, and that probably explains their absence.

My pick this week is Ariya. It's time for her to step it up. She's won the event twice in the past three years. In Gee has been struggling this year, but she's finished 2T and 2nd in the past two years, so I expect to see her in the mix as well.

Brooke is always a good pick, any week or any course!

> Good to have some coverage, even if it's on the minimal side. I filled in my golf viewing time with extra PGA coverage last weekend but I'm ready to get back to a more balanced TV diet.

That went out the window for me with the NCAA D1 Women's Championship airing three nights this week.

Picking Mariajo Uribe this week. She is at the top of my leaderboard on lpga.com (due to her early tee time). Why not?

Final pairing on Sunday with she and Emma Talley. The broadcast team will love it.

I always like seeing this course on TV. I worked maintenance on the Woods Course for 3 years which meant 3 tournaments too when the PGA used to play there. My aunt used to live on the 2nd hole green until they gave in for the Florida weather in 2008 or so.

Nothing more fun than setting up a PGA course by flashlights and headlights.

Jin Young hasn't played a bad round this year! I think when people make a tip, they are suggesting someone who might compete with JYK.

Lexi has been showing up more consistently lately. I hope she finds her best form soon.

Who is your first time winner?

Well I really haven't considered who, just a gut feeling. I have a handful of players I'd like to see get their first, but for this event I'll go with Su Oh. That being said, she has played pretty bad so far this season.

I'd say Lucky 6 would be in line for her first win, followed by Yu Liu.
