Maxfli Ufli Soft vs. Newer Model

So I picked up a dozen Maxfli Ufli Soft for 13 bucks at the local DSG, and actually liked them. How do they compare to the newer model? I think it's the Maxfli Tour?

I did the same a few months ago. Was really happy with the ball at that price. Can’t really imagine paying retail for them though. Too many other options

Played them again today...really like this ball. Good brakes on the greens and very predictable. Hopefully I can stock up on this model since DSG has updated it.

At 2 doz for $40 (hunting for the discount coupon and 2f50) I think these are no brainers for us who want a tour quality ball but lose a few so we need to be thoughtful of cost. I like the tour over tourx. I do also enjoy the ball on the green but I suspect pv1 fans may not like how soft they can be.

Today I got to play the x version, to compare w my Ufli and non-x version experience.

Don't sleep on the x. Very long. Mid to high flight, but not super high. Great feel on irons. Good spin around the green.

One shot in particular I sliced more than I like to admit. Still got 235 out of it, which is plenty for me.

Supplemental rave about the Tour X. The alignment things seem to work. Although I was having a very good driver day, the straightness was consistent enough that I had to wonder if it was real and not a gimmick.

I’m not sure on the Softs, but I bought a few Speeds earlier in the season for the same price. I think they’re a great ball at that price. If I didn’t just stick up on something else I’d buy a ton of these. Good quality urethane ball. Didn’t notice any downsides. Distance and spin we’re fine. Durability also acceptable

I’ve played the Ufli Soft extensively and the Tour CG for two rounds so far — for me the CG is slightly longer, a little lower, and sounds clickier. Good durability and great spin and performance. You wouldn’t be hurt playing the Ufli, but I’m really glad to be using the CG now. I stocked up on that great price and will continue to do so.
