Arizona Troon Summer Card

Hi all,

 

Haven't been playing much, jumping back in. I know consensus was pretty anti-Troon card before. Have any of you thought about this. $100 for the card and 5 months which is definitely reasonable. I'm just not sure if the course price breaks are worth it. Thoughts?

 

Also, if we're still not big fans of the Troon card around here are there others that would be recommended? I play a lot of rounds as a single getting paired up so something that doesn't require a 4-some would be helpful.

Summer 6 pack at SD; City Card; Summer Wekopa Pass

SD is awesome...but a good hour drive from my house. City card is great in the winter but during the summer it's hard to justify playing the muni's when better courses are just a few dollars more. Love the We-Ko-Pass too but again, it's a good 45 minutes from my house. I'm at the 51 and Northern (about 5 minutes from Lookout Mountain and Stone Creek, lucky me /s). Know of anything in the central corridor or maybe even a little west? Trying to find something within a 20-30 minute drive.

I am probably the only person here who actually likes Lookout Mountain despite its flaws and will admit it in public (helps that it's the second-closest course to my office and their tee sheet is dead/wide open this time of year), but their current deal is 12 summer rounds with no day or tee time restrictions, a dozen free drinks, a dozen Chrome Softs, some pool passes, etc. for $329 plus tax. Probably only saves you $5-$10 each on weekday rounds but saves $15-$20+ Each on weekend morning rounds.

Biltmore/Wigwam sells a 6 round summer pass that works out to like $25 per round with no time restrictions, but the Biltmore courses are awful and Wigwam is too far for your distance requirement.

Dove Valley has a new summer membership: https://www.dovevalleyranch.com/images/news/DVR_Summer_Program_Flyer.pdf; TPC pass or Grayhawk card are the only other ones I can think of, in addition to the Lookout one mentioned above.

Was the Grayhawk White card mentioned. Definitely a bit pricey. Also .... Why the hate for the Troon card.

Grayhawk WT Card gives you 4 rounds I get one coming from Boston 2-3 times a year along with WeKoPass I don't buy Troon Card don't find the value in it though my wife has bought it a couple times for us
