Huge indentations on the green

While the 360 Tour are great shoes from a traction and stability standpoint, the spikes leave huge indentations in the green. The spikes are mounted on a socket that adds significant depth at impact. Anyone else notice this problem with the 360 Tour?

My playing partners have complained (but they complain about everything).

Depending on where I play I've noticed that too. When I play the RTJ courses here in AL, I see them big time. Definitely the softer the course the more they're going to show up. But with the guys I play that wouldn't make much of a difference!!

I've noticed that mine are leaving pretty good indentations, it might bother some but it doesn't seem to bother me. :help: Actually I was thinking the same thing the first time I wore mine, that they were more aggressive than metal spikes, and did leave some ugly marks on our greens. At my course I feel I'm getting even with all the bas%&^%ds that don't fix their pitch marks. :tongue:

I have noticed the same thing. I wonder if anyone on tour has noticed this.

when i first wore mine, it was like that. Especially when i squat to read a line, a big indentation is left, im only 150 too.

You all have sure got me concerned. I just ordered two pair and they came in but it will be two months before I get home to pick them up. Now you are telling me that I am going to tear the green up if I wear them?

Ive notice it too, but its nearly as bad as the goofs that dont repair their pitch marks. ;)

Do you think this would still be a problem if you changed the spikes to a black widow or a stinger spike?

Yes this was the first thing i noticed with mine. First i thought it must just me being fat, then i wore my FJs again and they dont do it. I was wondering if its the Adidas Spikes or just the set up of the shoe. Anyone changed to the pulsar yet, i know they are much softer.

 

 

PS. Maybe Phil could get a pair and play in the group infront of VJ

Guys I have a pair of Adidas that aren't the 360 model and they leave large indents as well. Perhaps its the company or my 235 lbs, anyway they are comfortable shoes and I like my playing partners having to putt through pot holes.

yea they do...i have a pair and noticed they same thing...but as long as u r not playing in front of vijay singh what is there to worry about...

I really like the looks of these shoes, especially in the White/Black/Red combo.

 

However, the fact that they leave large indentations does concern me. I am playing Pebble Beach in a couple of months and would not want to leave a bad impression (on the greens)!

 

Just how big/deep are the indentations? The size of a quarter?

It's nothing like that--for me it was the spikes themselves that left the indentations. If guys on the Tour wore them out there on PH then I think you'll be alright.
