2019 Taylormade Flextech

Found a really good deal and I mix walking and cart riding, I am looking at getting a new carry bag and I am between the Taylormade Crossover Flextech Bag or the Flextech Lite. Looking for recommendations, since both are that far apart in weight I am leaning toward the crossover.

I had both the FlexTech Crossover and the FlexTech 5 way of the 2019 models. Here are my thoughts....

FlexTech Crossover is a great bag but did not have 14 full length dividers. Clubs constantly were getting tangled and the chatter on the cart was pretty bad

FlexTech Stand bag is also a great bag and my most recent bag but the club tangle was even worse with 14 clubs no matter how I configured it.

I found a deal on an OGIO Alpha Convoy RTC Stand bag and it has 14 full dividers and its own dedicated putter well. More expensive than the TM offerings but its a really durable and nice bag.

I’ve had both Crossover and Lite and they’re completely different bags. If you’re walking even 20% of the time, I would go with the Lite. Crossover is a more of a hybrid bag or cart bag with a stand.

Did you find the 14 way had clubs hung up like AG12 posted?

I am between these two bags. Ride 100% of the time.

I didn't notice anything. For what it's worth, I think most people on GWRX over-exaggerate club tangle.

I have the 2019 Taylormade Crossover Flextech Bag and I love it! I ride/push/walk and i think it's a great combo bag. Plenty of storage/pockets. Only wish the 14 slot dividers were full length but the clubs getting tangled isn't a big issue for me and doesn't happen too often (if that's what your worried about). You can find plenty of coupons online and wait for promotions. I got mine through Dick's Sporting goods (discounted price to $219 + 20% off coupon + chase credit card promo) my bag came out to $165.

I have the FT Lite (had it about 4 months) and it's my favorite...outperforms any Ping hoofer for sure.

I really liked the FT Lite because it's basically a Hoofer with some minor tweaks which I liked. The valuables pocket being lower on the bag so it's easily accessible on a cart is a good example. HOWEVER, I ended up returning it because the lining inside the ball pocket was tearing at the seams.

I'm now back to a Hoofer Lite (had it custom made) and say what you will about Hoofers, but these bags are made extremely well and there's a reason why they continue to stand the test of time.

I returned the hoofer lite for the TM FT lite because the pockets on the hoofer were very difficult to access (mainly the side pocket next to the ball pocket).
