Push carts/electric or manual? Brands?

So if you are looking at BC my first recommendation is always to check their demo or pre-owned page. I think they are the only manufacturer that does this and it can be a super cheap way to see if an electric is even your thing. Looks like a base X3 classic starts at $179. They even come with a 1 yr warranty.https://batcaddy.com/categories/Caddy-Demos-and-Pre-Owned/

I think the last time I had to email them - they had not updated their page in a while. May still be the case that they are out though.

I really like the seat on my Clicgear 3.5. The course that I play tends to be wet (so sitting on the ground is out) and they don't have benches anywhere. It can also be pretty slow. So, a seat really comes in handy. I don't know if it's a 3.0 vs 3.5 thing or not. But, I find the seat to be very stable on my 3.5.

If you play a flat course, there is really no reason to spend extra money on an electric cart. It may be possible to get a good deal on 3.5's in the upcoming months as Clicgear has recently released the 4.0. It's basically the same price as the 3.5, so, I don't know how retailers will be able to justify selling the 3.5 at full price. IMO, the changes from the 3.5 to the 4.0 don't justify paying more for the 4.0. If I were in the market for a push cart and could get a deal on the 3.5, that's what I'd go with. On the other hand, if retailers maintain the full pricing of the 3.5, you may as well get the new model.

I got a good deal on my 3.5 by purchasing the floor model from Dick's and then applying one of their coupons to the sale. I think that I ended up paying about $170-180 for it.

If you get the seat, make sure that you watch Clicgear's installation video before installing the permanent bracket. The instructions that come with all of Clicgear's accessories are terrible. But, there are ususally good videos available that show you exactly what to do. It's actually very easy to install. The actual seat also attaches and detaches to and from the bracket very easily.

I ended up buying the padded seat cover. But, I would suggest just getting the seat first and see whether you're happy with it without the padded cover and then make your own decision.

I went to EW today and saw both Clicgear 3.5, The Bag Boy Nitron and Bag Boy Quad and the SunMountain.

I went in thinking Clicgear, but now I'm leaning towards the Nitron. It was way easier to assemble, more compact for storage and seemed like the setup was well thought out.

I paid $219 for the Rovic RV1s.

I joined the early VIP buy in for the Alphardgolf eWheels V2 so I paid $450 for the V2. I think the cheapest price for "non-VIPs" on the Indegogo campaign is $499 (against retail of $750).

I live on a golf course and watch old ladies who have push carts and use them daily.

I think with the flat courses around here and bring in good shape, that I dont see the need for electric.

At this point I'm deciding between the Clicgear 3.5 and the Bag Boy Nitron. Unless there is something I'm missing, the Nitron seems like the best cart. It's super easy to assemble and is compact.

And I thought this exactly same thing before I got an electric. I'm in my mid 40s and in decent shape. An electric saves just as much wear and tear on your body over a regular push cart as a regular push cart saves over carrying. It just does, especially in the summers around here. My course is flat and small - doesnt matter - every little hill on a tee area or cart path, there is zero effort in using an electric.

Anyway, with the proliferation of low cost electric options now vs five years ago, I just cant see spending the same amount on a non-electric. But thats just me.

Also, if these old ladies (and old men) push their carts daily, how difficult can it be.

In the summertime I will mist most likely ride more than walk. I dont want to walk 18 holes in the Florida heat whether I'm pushing a cart or not..plus I can zip around in 2 hours with a cart in the summer.

Early in hand photos of the new GT2 models t the truck.  As soon as they show up on the range in player's bags we'll get some better from the top photos and hopefully some comparison photos against the last model.
