Bandon reservations

I've tried to call and make a reservation for Bandon the last few days. I've hung up after being on hold for half hour each time. Any tips on the best time to call? When I called last year I don't recall being on hold at all.

Longest wait I had was 35 minutes and they were very apologetic; tough time right now with people calling to modify or cancel their reservations, not to mention make a new one.

I would call early in the morning, around 8am PST. I've had luck both times I have called around that time.

I have always had luck with the leave a message option. I’ve called in the morning and either get a call in the afternoon or early the next day. Nothing like that 541 call coming in!

I submitted a request online telling them I'm really flexible in Nov and Dec. They had no consecutive nights available for a single except around Christmas. I'm going to try and call in a couple of months and see if there are cancellations.

Definitely worth calling back close to when you want to go with everyone cancelling trips right now.

If it's Nov/Dec you don't have to look at just a single room in the Lodge. The Inn has single rooms with a king bed that are pretty affordable that time of year. It's basically an extra 20 a night. The Inn rooms are a little more space compared to the Lodge, but you don't get the advantage of being closer to the hot tub, McKees, etc. You could also go ahead and book whatever's available that's the cheapest, and ask to get waitlisted for a cheaper room. I've had 50/50 luck with that, sometimes getting moved to the cheaper room, sometimes being stuck in slightly spendier, like the Lily Pond.

You have up to 7 days before now to cancel so that's what is happening. So many people canceling, but it also leaves more availability as you get closer. I agree on booking the cheapest option and then getting on the waitlist (Or calling once a week honestly). I wait 15-20 minutes when I update our reservation which has happened wayyyyyy to many times
